Well do take into consideration Blizzard’s plan to phase out a lot of addons from being able to work in the next expansion.
Still waiting for them to provide more information on that.
But I personally prefer to play WoW on my computer

You can just attach a mouse and keyboard, though, and plug it into a monitor, so it’s the same experience and a lot cheaper if you aren’t living in the Australian outback. We will all eventually be phased into it as GPU prices continue to rise. The problem we have to worry about now is the business model because you don’t want NVIDIA putting 100-hour caps on your gaming time, etc.
Then buy a laptop
Some of them are cheaper than an Ipad and will run wow without any problems
Or you could just hook your phone up, or in this case, an iPad, and not spend the extra money.
Well they said they’re going to replace their old ipad, so in my opinion their reason is just for World of Warcraft, it’s better/cheaper to buy a laptop instead
Of course, that’s just my opinion. If I was someone who was always on the go, then having a device like a Steamdeck would make more sense.
If I want to sit on the sofa and chill and play “PC” games, then a laptop if the smart move.
No. The only platform they are likely to make available is Xbox. You can play Hearthstone and Rumble on your ipad.
sure but that has nothing to do with op question .
I do have a laptop, in fact I play Wow on a laptop, but a laptop is not very comfortable sitting in a sofa watching TV.
And as I said it would only be to occasionally check some stuff (if a rare is up or so…).
Anyway, I looked up the price of Geforce Now and it is rather expensive for casual use.
It’s not. If you want to play WoW on the go (or on a couch!) your only option is a Steam Deck.
Which, by the way, I can absolutely recommend.
I literally said it’s cloud streaming in my first post…
yeah I was re-reading and saw you mention it, but forgot to correct my statement. My apologises.
As I said it would be for occasional checking wow and doing some simple stuff.
I use the Ipad a lot for other things, so that will be a sure buy. I was just wondering if I could use it for wow too and eventually get a model with more storage or so.
But if I understand well with Geforce Now the game will essentially run in the cloud and the specification of the Ipad/device does not matter (much).
Yeah I suppose you can do that. You’ll want to kill yourself over the controls, even for checking the AH, but… yeah it’ll work.
No, their reason is to get another iPad, and they would like to play WoW, but it’s not the reason for them getting it. So why would you buy a laptop on top of the iPad? Or a laptop to replace your iPad? You clearly like the iPad and want a new one.
nah, no more ipads in my house! The wife and daughter have broken the ones I purchased them.
I am looking at the Microsoft Surface instead, tbh. It looks good. It’s just annoying how everything has a Copilot button, which you always miss-hit.
Can you play it from distance on your Android phone? Or you have to be near your PC/Laptop to play as “Cloud” or whatever its called? Cuz I tried some Steam cloud gaming but I have to be near my laptop IIRC to connect my games to sync.
you’re rubbish at this
As “Player Housing” was a tabu for WoW a few years ago… now its going to happen!
I expect the same for the Android/Phone WoW version in the near future.
We can play Fortnite, Diablo Immortal, Albion Online, etc… on our phones and multiple platforms. Why not WoW with the new “one-button” thingy?
As long as there’s a stable connection of modest bandwidth you’re fine. It’s like the quality setting of a youtube video automatically switching if you’re having a connection issue.
