Why not? A one x will deffo be able to run a game as dated as WoW and if it's with keyboard and mouse and runs on the same servers as main WoW it'll make no difference to us on PC.

Up to you, if you want to pay twice as much - X-Box Live AND battle.net sub. - to play WoW; go for it.

Don't think you won't have to pay both, until Microsoft buy out Blizzard (might not be that bad a move, to be fair) &/or Activision...

Lol.

I have to say my first thought is no.

But. I'm sure there are decent people who would like to enjoy Warcraft in good ways but don't own a pc. Given the requirements of modern wow you need to spend a fair amount and so if you have an Xbox (being Microsoft) then maybe with keyboard and mouse.

Hell it's better than mobile.

It may make zone populated.
If Bliz is smart they port to a console, but not an existing one, bc then you negate the benefits. A dedicated console, made by themselves (design). Optimized for wow, and other bliz games.
Worry not for soon we will be able to play all the blizzard products from our very own mobile phone. Granted you have one that's super expensive and high end. About 2-3x the price of a new gen gaming console that just got its release.
just add controller support to wow ... no need for console.

If you look after your PC well, you pay for ongoing upgrades, rather than whole machines... and for what some people spend to buy their mobile 'phones, outright, they could easily get a PC that will do more, usually better.

Still - how some people are seen by others is more important to them than logical, economical use of their money.

Sometimes make you wonder... will those who don't wish to be tied down with technology cables eventually go back to a fully nomadic existence...?

Impossible. You need to move, so that's your sticks gone. You then have a remaining 4 D-Pad buttons, 2 triggers, 2 bumpers, 2 stick clicks, 4 buttons. Good luck binding every ability in WoW to 14 buttons, along with enemy targeting, enemy switching and all the other key triggers.

Edit: Also you're missing the point. He wants to be able to play on a console. Controller support for PC won't help someone wanting to play on console.

this is completely true .. phones will never offer the freedom and capability of pc's.. if anything the best a mobile will ever offer is a limited console type game.

you'd never see a game as ambitious as star citizen being produced for mobile.

it will be up to the players soon to boycott companies for making games worse in order to work on mobile.

i hope you all are ready to riot cause its been building to this for a long time.

if you care about quality games don't let these companies sell you garbage simple as that.

There's an addon for that.
Just no. Console players I’m sorry to say pretty much get everything given them on a platter through MDLC. They’d hate the grind aspect of this game.

It would cost too much money to roll out updates on console not to mention a new console comes out every 6 or so months.

You know how much money it costs to roll out a patch through PS/Xbone? A LOT!

This generation don’t want MMORPG anymore. The generation of today are give me this now, I don’t want to grind, I don’t want to have to spend months getting this item ect.

Look at Battle royals, it’s micro transaction paradice.

No addon will be able to be used on console.. just because Xbone and Sony PlayStation have M/K compatible consoles doesn’t mean wow is a good idea.

It would lose blizzard too much money. That’s a fact.

There are MMOs that already do it. FFXIV has a control scheme that allows for 16 keybindings on one single action bar with a controller (more with multiple action bars).

But, on topic, I don't see them porting a game this old to consoles. If anything that'd be for the next generation MMO, were they to do one, but even in that case it'd depend on the subscription model and target market.
They're not going to Port WoW for two reasons.

1, it's too old and the appeal just isn't there. If the Xbox one x was available ten years ago it would have definitely been viable. But now, no. You may see Warcraft 3 remastered or in an extreme case, WoW Classic.. But WoW in it's current model. No.

2. The PC master race would go absolutely bananas. The crapstorm over Diablo Immortal just shows how vehemently opposed they are to any form of multiplatform. They have already gnashed their teeth to the gums. Do you want them to rub their gums to the jawbone?

You have seen what Microsoft did to halo?

It's not multiplatform if it's only on mobiles, though... I know some people who were disappointed precisely because Immortal won't be on PC as well as mobiles to see the story without having to play on a phone (which some people just don't like). I could see people opposed to console and PC players being in the same servers if the control scheme wasn't adjusted to avoid having slow pad turning (which would really be necessary in the case of a WoW console port), but that's nothing to do with the Immortal issue.

Why would you play Warcraft on such an inferior load of junk. No offence, but MS can't even design a file operating system let alone a games console. I've had better performance out of a Jupiter Ace .
