The problem is that this is not really the balance of the game and you will see it for yourself when the game is balanced to some extent.
As long as a person who bought a pvp gear boost can kill players in any type of contest just because he bought such gear and someone else maybe not because he plays pvp very rarely. There’s just a big difference between the two which is caused by paying…even though there are other methods where you waste time.
I can also play 1 day of solo shuffle per week and be as strong as busted person. It doesn’t make any sense. You can turn warmod off if you’re so bad geared. And turn it on in two hours when you’re top geared lol.
You are not speaking about the gearing system, you are speaking of someone having more time. So what? You want whole gear for free from the start? You want other people to play less because you can’t play more?
Do you even understand that it’s irrelevant anyway? If you play that little, that you think gearing is an issue right now, then you won’t be anywhere close to your opponents skill level anyway. This way you are simply playing the wrong genre and will always find an excuse.
At least you have clearly shown that you really didn’t know what boosting even means in the first place.
Either way, that player was still one day stronger than you. It still meets the definition of p2w
.
No, it does not because no paying was involved in the first place…
He is not one day stronger than me. I can do that since the day one. There is nothing that keeps gear for me since all I need is to play once per week to be top geared. If I just levelled up alt then I’m weaker than everybody by definition and it’s not because everybody else p2w…
Anyone can pay for a boost that gives them more powerful gear than someone else who doesn’t play the game that often and doesn’t invest time in pvp. So it’s still p2w. Paid - done - won even if it is just a duel. The game doesn’t have an automatic scaling against others in pvp so it’s simply p2w even if you were to get +1 power for paying.
I can hire my own chin to play the game instead of me and get more gear than those who don’t play the game. Is it paytowin?
Yes. I pay, do nothing, get result. Should blizzard do something with that kind of paytowin?
I don’t think so…
No, it does NOT. It’s something you make up ![]()
This is just beyond stupid. You literally want full gear without playing the game.
Some people, myself included, want even MORE progression, not less.
But I called out in SL already that we will have people like you crying about exactly what you cry about right now. Ty for proving my point.
Oh and by the way, literally every game in the world is p2w, that’s what I decided. Since if I don’t play it and I am not good at the game and there is no automatic system making up for my fails, it means the game is p2w.
Yes but anyone who can craft those will craft those for KP. So you’re still wasting 405 and turning it into 395.
Usually they get rank 2-3, and the point is you can get high ilvl gear for free. Plus OPs refusal to take active part in the economy does not make a game p2w.
For the last 5 expansions you had to grind some form of legendary/artifact to maximize your player power. So if he had the time to do that, he can grind some gold and cough up the commission for crafting.
Why if your asking 80k for 418 I dont think thats warranted. I do even go like, bruh, ya scam?
You can get cheaper with the procs to 418. And its not like its costing anything extra too like insight.
I sell procs for cheaper with free recrafts (THeyr mats) which are maybe 8k per recraft if you mix tier 2’s in it and I proc at around 30% at this point.
What pay to win? You could always buy starter gear from AH. Since Vanilla. Now you can play BGs from 10-70 and buy full 411 PvP set and start grinding your Conquest, gems and enchants.
why would i farm that if i can just buy a token?
No one is such a masochist to play pvp from level 10 to endgame level. If we include que time and time spent in lost bg so it’s faster to go earn money for a part-time job and buy a boost from Blizzard.
Haven’t spent a dime on gear and I still feel competitive enough. If you had to buy tier sets, now that would be pay to win.
Wow professions pay to win.
This makes absolutely no sense. You can spend 100k € on tokens, you won’t get fully geared on the level I get within few hours of playing.
Plus, consider u live in Turkey and wow token is not even available to purchase while other countries have access to
Do you buy professions and the materials through the real money shop?
