WoW Physical Copy still a thing?

I collect stuff,and had all cds from all previous expansions,wondering will shadowlands have as well ?

There’s the Collector’s Edition, though don’t think those comes with a disc now.

Not talking about collector’s edition.Collectors edition is like 130 euros in my country,a physical copy of wow expansion (regular cd) was like 50 euros before,cant remember now.

My understanding is that there is no physical version (may change though).

I don’t get how people are focused on CE and/or disc. I just want a physical box that every other expansion had, preferabbly that tri-fold thing, would look nice next to the rest of the game. I don’t wanna pay the overpriced CE and I don’t care if it has a disk, none of my computers have disk drives since almost 10 years.

I still have old WoW and TBC as PC CD ROM physical copies when my brother started to play it long time ago, people calls it vanilla now i think. I have however pre ordered and got biggest Shadowlands collection. got a new and nice mousemat, book, covenents pins and also some in game stuff. :slight_smile:

They could bring back the physical box with the inclusion of a large map, keyboard layout and maybe a lore book. The way games were sold in the past.

I have the battle chest edition which is vanilla and TBC combined and WoD

I have all except Cata, WoD and BFA. Those were digital

I like the boxes that are like embossed they are really nice to look at not the ones with just a printed sleeve in a case :frowning:

They were. Cata was the first you could get digitally

Well, you are wrong because MOP was not only an expansion with a digital edition, it was the first expansion with a digital deluxe edition so it was no longer required to buy a physical collector edition to get the in-game rewards of that edition.

It’s a much more ‘green’ method to have a digital version and just a physical CE. I realise that is very unsatisfying for some.
