What I meant is, even wow classic will decrease in numbers after 5\6 months of its initial launch. So, it’s a saving grace for Blizzard temporary and not a permanent fix for the lack of players.

Edit:
Only, a few players like asmongold and nixxiom will invest their time for wow classic about another decade.

Every expansion has its ups and down, release having the highest point and usually after a month or so it plummets. Then a new patch brings it up again and later in the patch it goes down again. And then the next patch…you get the idea.

Personally i have to say that this expansion has been the worst, yes even WoD gave me more to do. Sure, i could do the raids but i killed the first boss on mythic last week with a character that got his gear from world quests and warfronts… And no i wasn’t being boosted.

But you probably still got carried since it’s basically the last week of the raid. The boss is on farm since months

About their data, idk how they did it but the Reddit graphs aren’t helping. It would stand to reason that BFA is in the same state as early legion as they share a lot of flaws.

I’d like to see how this data will be affected by 8.2 once it’s live

Don’t have an exact source. it was one of those random interviews, but the question was about that specific armor - basically “so what about the night elf armor, it looks amaz-” - “yeah, we’re not planning on making that available to players”

Oh btw a less detailed version (the basic bodypaint) has been in the game files since vanilla, judging by the file name, it was made for the night elf sentinels. But then they decided to dress them in the generic plate armor.

Of course I would agree and no source is 100% accurate(except if Blizz would reveal the numbers themselves). but then again.
This is at least 1 step better than “The WoW population is declining because I SAID SO!”.

I would now start wishing for the person who decided this to hit his toe on a table everyday at work.

Buuuut. They gave us the Druid of the flame gear. I guess we can’t have everything :frowning:

It is going to be like every start of expansion.
A lot of fuss and curiosity, that wide variety of elitist followed by the ones on full time job to be the first of a virtual nothing.

Then in 4-5 months dead.

I am very curious how many that play on the private server will come to pay and play here.
Also curious how many of the vanilla players will play compared to those that are totally new to the game which will be the majority of players.

Private server and Blizzard r totally different dimension of game! I doubt any will come from private and if they come will be small number.

I’m glad some of you got a longer look. My ad blocker meant I got blocked from seeing the site after a few moments.

It didn’t seem very factual from what others have said.

In reality we know that every man and his dog is likely to go and try Classic when it launches. This happens when anything new comes out. How many stick at it for as a game they want to play regularly is what remains to be seen. With some luck it will be succesful enough that it stays viable. I hope after the layering is removed every server has a healthy enough population to carry on.

Unlike the doomsayers who want the main game to fail I don’t think there is a risk of that. Other than launch I don’t expect it to have a long term effect on the main game. All those that only subbed for a chance at beta will go and play Classic. Some will come back purely to play Classic and try the official blizz version and compare the experience to their private server experiences. There are plenty of people who intend to keep playing the main game. Many play multiple games without it ever being an issue.

i never would have guessed that a site like mmo champ who very recently changed ownership would have come out with a pure clickbait news based on speculation just to boost traffic. boy am i suprised!
