WoW randomly tabs to desktop. Can not tab back in for a few seconds. Lose mouse functionality. Sometimes crashes after this happens

Basically the title. Sometimes within 10 minutes, sometimes after an hour, my game just randomly tabs to windows. I lose control of my mouse, I sometimes have a white screen and then after a few seconds I can tab back into WoW. In some cases WoW crashes to desktop and in others I can keep playing.

  • I have a GTX 1080Ti, I do not have any DLSS settings under Image Scaling in Nvidia Control Panel. I turned it off anyway, no change. I have the latest drivers Nvidia installed, but this also happened on previous driver version.

  • WoW is the only game this happens to.

Edit:

  • There are no error logs within the retail folder.
  • There is no crashdata found in MSInfo.

This sounds very much like another application/service is at times hijacking the display “focus”, in turn forcing WoW into the back. Combined with the control over the mouse cursor being lost and the “white screen” - I’d have to assume its actually either malware or some background application suffering a partial crash.
