Now, We all know that Blizz are going to have to pull something major out if wow is ever to make a comeback.

A cataclysmic event? Forcing a whole new Azeroth, with only 1 faction made up of survivors?
Azeroth finally waking up? Or maybe dying?
At this point, whatever it is will have to be a complete overhaul, because it’s not just the game in a bad place.
The community needs policing, the image of blizzard as a whole is trashed, the player base is migrating. And let’s the honest, the story is mind boggling.
JUST GIVE PLAYERS WHAT THEY WANT, STOP WAITING FOR ANOTHER PATCH TO ADD UPDATES TO THE GAME AND STOP BEING AFRAID OF EVERY SINGLE SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE IN THE GAME. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE GAME AND DO IT NOW.
I would call it a Jungian archetype statement. Which is very intelligent. Utilising the collective unconscious-subconscious in order to get a lot said in a simple universal statement.
The statement hits a lot of subconscious notes we can familiarise with; Azeroth finally being released of poor game design and the story being free to unfold like a beautiful flower - after years of developer stagnation caused by conflicting/paralysing silly ideas.

and of course big frontal cone visual for bosses/mobs who cast something you need to DODGE
I’d like to see racial pride, be the core thing. Not faction pride, sod that…if you play a Blood Elf or Human or Draenei or Night Elf, you are made to feel like “Yes, I am playing something that feels good to play.”
Maybe even race/class pride for the leveling experience, so it functions like the Legion Class order halls, but when you reach a certain level, your called back to your capital and you go on quests with characters.
So if your a Blood Elf Warlock or Blood Elf Mage - you’d do quests with Rommath, for example.
Somekind of cataclysmic timewarping event that erases this “player is the biggest demi-god hero” era and returns us back to humble adventurers just helping out.
Let’s hyst say just return back to the era when we faced lich king and continue onward without bs hero stuff and borrowed powers.
