There are thousands of bots actively farming right now. They farming nightmare incursions you can see lot of stealth druid and same route killing farming… Then if you look at general chat u can see spams like gold trading to cata or retail servers.
Problem is why blizzard not doing anything abaut it? Dont tell me report them beceuse its not working. Same 25 hunter farming ashanvale incursion for a weeks! i report them several times…
I hope “blizzard” realizes the seriousness of the situation before it’s too late. Many big games have sunk quickly due to this problem.

People love to buy gold, there is a demand. So blame the community, they dont care, they want to buy gold because of this stupid competitive nature of games today
I completely agree. The botting situation has gotten really bad lately. I’m not sure if there’s a new bot application out there, but it seems Blizzard is simply unable to detect them effectively. I’ve reported many of them, but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference. Maybe they catch a few in the act, but those farming in the middle of the night face no consequences.
Most WoW players are well aware of the negative impact of bot farming and gold buying. Look at what has happened with incursions—inflation exploded within a week, and everyone could farm an insane amount of gold. Then they tuned it down so much that it wasn’t really worth it past level 50, except for bots, of course. Now, they’ve become bot heavens.
Inflation is skyrocketing, and returning players are giving up because they can’t farm or buy anything.
I know Blizzard is fighting an uphill battle, but either the consequences for botting aren’t severe enough, or they’ve more or less given up and only act on the reports they receive.
They can go buy gold in retail.
While it is true that this is a case of supply and demand, Blizzard made it a lot worse with incursions. Players who weren’t in from the start are now severely behind on gold, and some unfortunately resort to gaining it in other ways.

The problem is not that people buy it, the problem is that there is no real punishment for that hence people buy it freely.
with incursions existing and being the most efficient way to make gold yet also at the same time being the most boring, torturous, hamsterwheel content imaginable is why people buy gold.
bots run incursions (who would have thought… first sniper training+instant aimed shot, and incursions was already being run in loops by actual players, its not a surprise bots were programmed to run them too) and make tons of gold, nobody can compete in the market… you can’t even flip stuff on AH because the RMTers do that 24/7 as well, and undercut you if you try, and waylaid supplies were also nerfed to the point where they aren’t profitable…
honestly, just to keep up with the insane inflation people feel like they HAVE to buy gold.
this is 100% on blizzard for making decisions that are beyond poor while at the same time putting basically no active, let alone pro-active efforts in to fight bots.
i made my peace with the fact that this was going to happen weeks and weeks ago, when i was still in the negotiation stage of the 6 stages of grief.
now i am in the acceptance stage, and with phase 4 being delayed i kinda just don’t care anymore.

I agree with bots being a nuisance but what is wrong with gold trading?
The problem here is the bots and blizzard not taking any precautions, the same lvl 50 bots have been farming for months without being banned.
