WoW subscription problem

I’ve bought 3 months WoW-subscription today.
Blizzard charged money from my bank card, but there is no transaction in my battle.net account and my play time doesn’t change.
Also support is not responding for my ticket.

How can I refund my money back or get my play time?

If theres no transaction in your battlenet then the transaction failed, and your money is being held by your bank.

Your bank will return the money to your account, they have up to 28 days, but most banks are a lot faster than that.

You can’t “refund” it from Blizzard, because Blizzard don’t have your money, your bank does.

I have read elsewhere on the forums, that support take about 7 days at the moment, to answer tickets. They aren’t ignoring you, its just that they are also helping lots of other people too.

Blizzard support is getting worse, isn’t it?
Ten years ago it already was the worst support. And now I see that it can be even worse.

But, as Trovlak said, there’s no point in making a ticket as it’s your bank that’s holding it and it hasn’t reached Blizzard yet.

It’s not working this way. Blizzard can unblock my money.

Do not, I repeat, do not do a chargeback, they will lock your account as it’s considered fraud, just wait for your ticket to be answered and in the meantime contact your bank about the payment.

Hi Alicebaka,

As others have mentioned already, the first transaction would just be a temporary authorization hold by your bank and you’re not actually charged until more game time is needed.

So I have to wait 28 days to receive my money back. And what is the temporary hold for?
Why doesn’t any other company (whose games I’ve played) do this?


For my perspective this situation looks like this:
I’ve paid and got nothing.

I expected to see one of two options:

  1. My money charged and I got 90 day to my playtime
  2. I didn’t get 90 days and my money will charged on the next bill day

So I was really confused.


I’ve cancelled my subscription and my money is still blocked.
How can I return my money back?
I think I need to wait 28 days for the bank to release the hold, right?
