ie the most grindy and time consuming expansion of all time,
the content it self is not that hard at all, you just need to invest time into the game in order to progress your character,
as someone who has a job its really hard to justify spending that much time in the game when i can play something else,
dont worry im not saying they should change the game to cater for me,
this is just a warning for new people who are interested in the game but dont have a lot of free time, honestly you guys should play something else , but hey thats just my opinion tell me guys what you think in the comments am i the only one who feel like this?
You don’t need to do all the content day 1. Spread it out over multiple weeks. Prioritise and select which content you want to do first, and spend some time in the evening progressing this goal.
The alternative is Blizzard doing this for you by hard time-gating content.
reasonable suggestion but really how much can you get out of the game when you can play only 1 - 2 hours a day 2 to 5 days a week.
its been a month since tbc launched and im still at lvl 66, i can only fit 2 dungeons runs in a game session, and its honestly not that much of progress.
Try doing the quests instead if you can only do two dungeons a session and you will level faster…if that is your aim.
And what’s wrong with not being max level after a month? This current trend towards ‘everything must be done as fast as possible’ is where retail ended up with timers, dailies , blah blah.
I’ve joined the filthy Horde on one of my accounts and enjoying seeing a different part of the game and world. Not rushing through levelling as fast as possible and generally enjoying a relaxing time.
I would suggest to be less focused on the end goal and just enjoy the journey. Leveling is playing TBC. You don’t have to be in Kara or have the Aldor shoulder enchants to play TBC. Last week or so I saw a guild recruiting people that wanted to start Kara in like a month.
Just relax and play the game at your own pace. You have 2 years
I mean you choose to do just raiding and probably rushed through it all.
There are quests, professions, dungeons, reputations etc. It can feel pretty grindy at times, but like many others suggested: the content will be here for months to come, you don’t need to hurry.
Well then go retail If you feel like that. This game was and is a time consuming. If you can’t bend around it , then the game cannot accommodate you. Is you for classic tbc and lich King who have to bend around . The everything else up is made to bend around the player
It can be problematic in some areas, not so much in others; you just have to accept that contract when you begin your journey.
My own personal issue is that I need two Primal Nethers to complete my armor set. They have a low chance to drop in a normal five-man, and guaranteed drop from last boss in an heroic, though you’re also going to have to content with people rolling against you.
To get to the heroics I must spam ordinary dungeons to get revered rep with the appropriate factions. Unfortunately I cannot really spam dungeons as I can only spare around 5 hours each week to play. I’m currently clocking an average of two dungeons a week.
This means that I’m unlikely to get those two Primals and complete my armor set any time before December - and that’s if I’m lucky.
Even so I’d not change anything. It is what it is. If you want the progress, you have to put in the legwork.
Who cares? Why do you feel the need to bring things like that up? You clearly get a kick out of it seeing you do it often, but it is just extremely embarrassing from your part.
I admit I did nolife the first week, took a week off from work, but after that just playing after my work.
I got all heroics unlocked, i got my 2 primary professions +fish+cook maxed, most reps are already exalted too, done all dungeons atleast once and no point doing them more because there’s no gear for me there.
P1 may seem like a lot to do, but once you hit 70 you’ll be running out of things to do quite quickly. All that’s left is farming T4 content for your bis, which is the 3-4 hours I mentioned before.
It’s already raidlogging because it’s relatively quick to get everything you need. Even HC is starting to die as more and more people don’t need anything from it. If I get healing mace from Karazan I’m also done with mainspec gear…
Unless you want every mount and every tabard the content in TBC burns quickly.
As many have already pointed out: A good chunk of it is simply frontloaded. And for that matter of fact they even locked The Eye, SSC and Black Temple behind later phases like private servers did afaik.
It should stall down considerably. Don’t worry OP/people, just relax.
