I wonder why? CoD MW 2 is responsible for this?
It’s called “Inflation”.
As more and more gold becomes available ingame it gets constantly devaluated against other currencies, in this case against the EUR/USD since the token is tied to those real-world-currencies.

I guess less people are buying them for IRL money, because there is less content to do in the game right now. But players who exchange gold are still buying them for the game time.
How they work
The less people who buy them the gold goes up
WoWTokenPrices - Price and History Tracker
WoW Token Price & History - WoW Shadowlands 9.1 - Wowmeta
determines WoW Token Price?
While the real money price of Token is fixed, the in-game gold price (how much are Tokens selling for) changes dynamically according to supply and demand. You can not choose how much do you want to sell it for - it is automatically determined by Blizzard’s internal algorithm.
Fewer people buy it for real money / more people want to give their gold for it = less supply/more demand = Token’s gold price rises.
More people buy it for real money / fewer people want to give their gold for it = more supply/less demand = Token’s gold price falls
Obviously fewer people are buying tokens, and the main reason I think for that is that legendaries have become far cheaper and fewer people are playing but the completely addicted farmers are still here.
I’d hate to be agree with you. But you’re right.
The content for 9.2 is over and complete for most people. They’re off doing other things. It’s just the M+ Rinse and Repeat crowd who are hanging around for the next 8-12 weeks until S4 is out, and we get to start running old content again.
Noone is playing this dead expansion thats why!
I don’t get why almost everyone thinks mythic+ is the only thing u can do in this game.
Why would people buy and auction tokens in the first place? Just grind materials in the first 1-2 weeks of an expansion and you’re a millionaire really.
I’m betting it’s more like 4-8 weeks 'til s4.
Because raiding is old and dull (especially for those who did it in the early days of WoW). And most who raid, have completed it by now. And PVP has become inaccessible as a pass time. Both require far too much commitment to enjoy casually.
As for world content… we’ll Zereth Mortis was complete in 3 - 4 weeks, when patches at the moment last 6-8 months.
I’m going by 2 things.
1 they said August release date.
2 The published M+ Affix schedule
U don’t get it, u think it takes 3-4 weeks to be done with everything in Zereth Mortis.
To get exalted and complete A to Zereth. Yes! It was over pretty quickly, and I know that because I was didn’t resub after 9.2 came out because I had to go away for a few weeks in April.
That’s not everything.
The less people play the game the more it rises
Has always been like this
Nothing else that can’t be completed in that time frame. Unless you’re an extreme completionist farming rare rare drops.
I had one of each mount model after 4 weeks as well. That’s enough for me.
U shoud try get all mats for all mounts.
Oh, they did? My bad. Haven’t kept proper track of everything coming out of Blizzard’s mouths, so I just went by their claim that it’s coming “later this summer”.
Or get extremely lucky with BOE in raid I was really lucky at the launch of CN. Getting at least 2-3 BOE a week while just progressing on CN lol
I think it was like a 3rd or a 4th week that I haven’t gotten a single BOE and some1 in a guild made fun of me
