We got patron of war in the past for watching wow arena stream, why doesn’t Blizzard reintroduce that feature. Every tournaments finals should give you a title or something similar for watching lets say 30 minutes in my opinion, the same way they could enable twitch drops on specific channels for watching the world first race.
Just sounds like an artificial way to boost viewing figures. Let those who want to watch, watch IMO.

I mean no one would force you to watch it would be just a nice bonus
I can’t say it would force me to do anything, but plenty will go and watch and artificially boost the figures for something they don’t necessarily have any interest in. They will be there just to get their title and go again.
It’s the kind of gimmick you see elsewhere. I’m not saying Blizz wouldnt’ do it.

Blizzard did it with HotS and Hearthstone already. It’s not necessarily a gimmick. Some people will indeed just tune in and ‘watch’ until they have the reward and not bother again until the next time something is given out, but for some it’ll be an incentive to watch the stream for the first time and, maybe, discover that they like it.

They could activate the rewards in other way too, for example if you watched any WoW streamer for a set amount of time (for example 10 minutes 1000 gold, 30 minutes shoulders, and for 1-2 hour pet/toy/title or even a mount), other games have similar features like that.
I agree with Puny.
If they did that I would “watch” while doing something else paying no attention to the stream as I couldn’t care less.
It would just be a way for Blizzard to say “look at all these people who care” when in reality a tiny fraction would.

Everyone likes free stuff.
But when it comes to things like this it really would be a welfare title and would only upset those who were not around to AFK for 30 minutes that day (assuming the title was worth bothering)

I agree it wouldn’t be good if it was just for a day but if it lasted for the whole tournament for example or something similar
