Wow vs ffxiv

majority of the world is poor, so i guess most ppl can only afford one sub fee a month. but what ever, i assume u are rich and think every one swims in money like u. wake up =)

I’m not rich and the cost of the subscriptions is not a lot.

i guess that sattement is true depending on who u are.

Come on, it’s the price of a takeaway and a few beers.

if u live in bulgaria 332.34 Euro a month… and u need cover all the costs of living as well.

Stop SJWing.

they wont - because they would have to permaban like 60% of mythic tryhards due to toxicity they are spreading through whole game

look at FF14 devs - they are not afraid to permaban people for even talking badly about players performance - at the same time blizzard devs are proud to put in toxic io into game to spread toicity even further

wow has been dying for years now because blizzard has been catering solely to mythic toxic tryhards - now you see effects.

FF14 which took completly different route is blooming - and wow is rotten corpse.

Have you ever had a healthy discussion about a subject without other people?.

There’s your 1st mistake. 2nd mistake is admitting you watch the guy.

wow is for real men,ff14 is for pink haired 2021 kids (if you know what i mean)

Yes
but your thread is based on opinion of a internet guy
you started THREAD with

So it is hard to talk when we already know where you stand

Played both and enjoyed both. Always end up going back to WoW though. I think XIV usually pulls ahead in appealing to MMO newcomers, but it always feels like it lacks depth at end-game.

The FFXIV community also always feels scarily close to a cult. Constantly preaching about how they’re the most accepting and kind MMO community, yet they feel the need to constantly bash other MMO’s and belittle their players. They have this weird disillusion that all WoW players are terrible ‘toxic’ people and will actively try to gatekeep you from playing, despite XIV boasting just as many psycho players… And god help you if you dare try and criticise any aspect of their favourite game.

Agree 100%. I even learned the term weeby in these topics (WoW vs FF14). It turned out, I am not a weeby at all. I really disliked FF’s models and aesthetics generally.
If WoW was dead tomorrow, I more likely would stop playing games (I can play only MMOs), than playing FF (or any Asian MMO).

I think the hype is real. And the only reason is Retail being boring for half of WoW player base.

Maybe Riot their MMO will be more like WoW art style, if you see at how league of legends is, you can compare this i believe the closest to WoW. As for me i like JPRG, specially the animations in the fights i like. Maybe because i like to watch anime and those effects are common. But i understand why people dislike FF tho. If your used to WoW then nothing will be good, and Blizzard is aware of that.

Oh they know that fact. And that’s why I am really happy, when other MMOs are successful.
Maybe Ashes of Creation will bring some real competition. I wonder, how many WoW subscribers, will be lost for Blizzard. And for how long.

By the way, I hear about 9.1 a lot. What Retail players look anticipate for? Is there a chance, that a patch, change the game dramatically, and they will enjoy the game for more than a month or two?

Not really. They will rush through the new stuff and get bored again.

I believe there is a video about what will coming, but if i’m correct it will be 1 dungeon and 1 new raid. And a new system not sure what it is.

I tried 3 times to play and get into FF14 and I just could not do it, just don’t enjoy it at all. I’m a huge fan of the FF single player games and always play them. Shadowlands issue is lack of content and lack of willingness to make popular community changes (which they will eventually make, as usual).

TBC is awesome.

I just can’t get into Final Fantasy. It feels so clunky, even more than Classic WoW and that says alot.
