Atm this game is loosing hard. After watching Bellular and others talking about Blizzards refusal to lissen to playerbase and make positive changes. Do you guys think Blizz will change there attitude now that other Mmo games are directly taking subscribers away. Or is it a lost case and no hope in sight ??.

This “war” between WoW & FF14 is more related to retail than Classic.
I love Final Fantasy (really), but FF14 is one of the few MMORPGs that i can’t stand to play more than few weeks.
Everything except Edens/Chimeras encounters is boring as hell.
It’s nearly the same gamedesign than retail wow : only end game matter -> you do the same instanced content again & again to improve your ilevel by 1 then it reset throught catch-up each update and bis repetita.
PvP doesn’t really matter/exist in FF14 so you get good gear just to get good gear. You can’t even use it against others players.
You’ll be much happier in-game if you don’t listen to opinions of drama content creators.
I tried the f2p version which you can until level 70 got to like level 40 stopped the base game is very boring not that wows leveling system is better you have to do main story quest for hours upon hours and you need to do it. The combat system starts off slow but gets better I like the idea that certain abilities work better in a combo and do more damage depending if your on the side or back I liked that some of the cinematic and spell effects are pretty cool
Both games are good.
Stop pitting one against each other and grow up
FF14 is objectively not a bad game but I’ve played WoW during it’s peak so it’s just another garbage MMO in my eyes. WoW ruined my perception of other MMOs.
Just had a look at ff14 and what i saw is a total mess of ugly creatures,waifus with nude mods and horrible gameplay.

Got a feeling squares paid off some streamers. Games literally just blown up out of no where, and the new ff14 expansions literally the same old same old nothing special at all lol. I’m a huge final fantasy fan for over 20 years, and really don’t get the recent hype.

Last time we saw something…decent “special”, was in Legion. Then we had BfA and Shadowlands. Tell me something special about this 2, in terms of gameplay that is.
You say that but we’ve got the maw, torghast, m+ changes, renown and big covenant story arcs etc.
Final fantasys literally new raid, new class, new dungeons and story. And still an incredibly dull end game with worse PvP, no m+ like content, and far inferior raids. Blizz are trying to add new and different stuff in, fair play they mess up alot. But the point I’m getting at ff14s expansions are all the same, basic mmo stuff on a 2 year cycle, absolutely no need for hype as nothing new and incredibles changing lol.
Find it extremely coincidental, loads of top streamers have suddenly started playing and hyping the game up out of no where. That don’t even play MMOs and never mentioned ff14 before lol. It’s almost as if squares paying streamers for advertisement

This silly thing FF vs WoW. I play both, although I stopped the online FF version yrs ago, imo FF is the best game ever but NOT the online version. As for the rest FF been around since 1987 if I am correct?

Big Covenant Story = Hm…I remember I had to play 5-10 mins of ( weak ) “story” a week for the first … 2 months. Yup … very special !

It is good for Blizzard to get some competition, maybe now they will start to think again about the players instead of their bank accounts.
Reason FF is so loved is because the devs really care about their players, something Blizzard lost long time ago. For me it’s good that FF takes away some subs and get allot of attention. Blizzard was king for years, they could do what they want. But people are sick of it and are looking for alternatives.
You either love or hate JRPG style, reason allot of WoW players can’t stand the game is because WoW has amazing art style, probably the reason allot fel in love with WoW.
If FF had the same art style, i bet allot will try the game.
Time for Blizzard to stop being arrogant and think they still can do what they want.
Without Classic and TBC, Blizzard would not have so many subs, Classic saved their ** and they now that.
FF14 is Weeb anime BS game … I am Wow player since 2007 and FF looks horrible and plays horrible…
I did not try, neither will, FF14 however, WoW is in the $$$ milking mode definitely and only changes we might get will be by end of the quarter to boost quarterly revenue.
