Remember that sense of exploration and adventure when you roamed zone looking for quest objective, in times where people didn’t even have quest trackers…
Because of things like that, this game will never be the same…
Do you feel same way?
No.
10/chars
If you want to do it, don’t use addons and play the base game without it. Games grow up, people grow up.
I feel that during that time we were all young and the IRL was much different than now. We had time to walk 30 minutes from The barrens to thousand needles. Right now, a game like that would die really quickly.
Long time ago took ages to be max level, took ages to be able to actually start raiding and having 40 men with 5 frame(fps) in raid was a pain.
Honestly? I don’t miss it, time is different now and also if i need exploration or adventure there are much better games that does offer that.
You had to stand in Orgrimmar or shattrath city for hours to be able to find people to make a dungeon and aswell that dungeon was long as hell (2 hours+ shadow labyrinth). No thank you, i am fine like this honestly, faster is better based on my IRL at least.
I do remember the quests telling you were to go (“South of here in the cave, past the trees”), and that I miss because sometimes the quest markers just aren’t accurate or useful at all. So having that back in addition to regular QoL would be nice.
Yes and im happy the game is no more in this way. You have classic where to play a 14 years old game with 14 years old mechsnics.
Have fun to find mankriks wife without wowhead
Classic was fun.
The effect is not the same for TBC for me or any other expansion for that matter.
Should’ve just kept the game in naxx limbo forever
Well, this is a nice refreshing topic!
Oh hang on!
Edit, what is this now? Six threads on the same topic about the values of vanilla wow from a player who wasn’t even there!
Jesus, another thread saying exactly the same thing as you do in all your other threads.
and weekend finished 2 days ago (yesterday for the ppl with easter monday holiday)
If you dont like it, move on!
Bye
I started in spring 2005 and played until autumn 2005, roughly six month, in that time I level an orc warrior to 30 with rough 30g and a troll shaman to 16 with a couple of gold.
You’re right leveling took a long time back then. Partly due to not knowing efficient ways to level and just messing around. And partly because it took half an hour to figure out where the mob was to kill or the shiny to pick up as we had no trackers telling us these things and the websites weren’t quite so helpful.
I also don’t miss that.
