Hello, so i’ve been spamming winter veil event with all my chars past couple of days for its cool rewards. I have wowhead open on the side to see what did i get so far and what i am still missing from Stolen Present. So yesterday i got father winter’s hearthstone which is not listed there in the drop list for stolen present. I also got toy armor set. They have toy weapon set listed i dropped this too, but they don’t show anything about toy armor set. So this makes me curious, i already got few items that is not shown in wowhead, what else can there be? This makes me not trust wowhead and keep spamming the event daily with every toon until the event ends, and i might have already gotten everything and wasting time there. Where else can i see the correct drop list of Stolen Present?
Install AllTheThings addon and customize it to show the possible contents of any box (or set it to Insane to see everything including non-available stuff). I trust AllTheThings more than WoWhead because it is updated a lot more often.
All past gifts from under the tree become a chance for it off the Stolen Present if you didn’t get it.
Wowhead relies on players running a special addon “wowhead looter” to send data about drops back to the site - as only a minority of players run it - there’s often a delay before it picks everything - and for rarer items it may never capture everything!
Pretty much all community sites and addons rely on user submitted data like this - so they all have their limitations.
The only 100% accurate source if the wow dev team’s internal tools and they are (usually) kept a closely guarded secret!
It also can’t differentiate loot from daily/weekly, loot class/spec, covenant, etc., lootboxes, so it’d give results of a lot lower drop rates than it really is.
