Wowpedia has migrated to warcraft wiki

Not too unreasonable seeing how hostile fandom is with adverts.

new wiki

Warcraft Wiki is looking like it’s got the most support so far. So few replies though.

Wish Blizzard would have just made their own Wiki.

Think Genshin is considering to do something like it. And GW2 did so from release, even got a built in /wiki command in the game!

They should add it, especially now when they try to expand the IP

GW2 wiki integration is amazing tbh.

And quite frankly needed for wow…

Seen responses from support where they pretty much just said “use wowhead”.

Hello,
It is nice people can write there and share their thoughts on names and even suggest new ones.

I myself think keeping the wowpedia name but others not. I saw this discussion thread also talked about on the NA forums.

I will point out wowpedia has its own discord server where they also talk about this topic if you want to share your opinions there.

I am always puzzled why those who are hostile with adverts are not blocking the ads.
I almost never see any ads with ublock

Unfortunately google is in the process to kill the current internet and make it more akin to the app stores by making it so that you can only browse webpages with their locked-down chromium implementation.

An implementation that surely will be deprived of the ability to edit the dom with extensions like ublock-origin. Because google is first and foremost an advertising company.

Considering the history of many Google projects, I would not be too worried they will achieve what they intend to.
They will also lose people to firefox.
Lots of people will make it their life’s calling to rain on Google’s parade.

Just by brainstorming I am thinking about how one would circumvent this by an extension that copies the data of the dom and edits it locally afterwards.

Still, pretty much every major browser now is stuck with chromium including firefox. Firefox have just said they won’t discard the older systems yet.

And unfortunately a lot more people were too lazy to get another browser for their phone giving google near monopoly.

I am team Kiwii browser here for my mobile devices.
A mobile browser that supports desktop browser extensions like ublock
