WoW's Open World PvP left me disappointed

It does indeed, though I personally think BfA was the closest to the ideal scenario - was my favourite time for Warmode (I joined at the end of Legion).

that’s always been a huge source of satisfaction though, they’ll kill you twenty times BECAUSE they die like trash every single time someone that can fight comes along, but yes you’re right, they don’t try it on unless you are alone and 10 levels below, or they are not alone, wpvp is laughable, and utterly shameless.
most attack you below 70, most leave you alone at 70, cowards, one and all…‘;…;’

it’s the reason i’ll never turn pvp off, it’s worth dying just to see them die so easily to a real pvp head, and to know that there is something lacking in the life of a griefer that they need to be that cruel cat, gotta help these people

oh, and need to throw out a little love to those that do guard lowbies in starter/levelling zones, thank you for putting their tails between their legs

When someone says World PvP takes no skill you know they only attack players with lesser gear themselves.

If you are the better player and got the surprise element then you sometimes can win anyway.

Open world pvp is mostly about ganking and one of those occasional quests plus the air drops and that’s it.

nah - WoW open world PvP is literally about gettin 2-3 firends and picking on solo adventurers :'D

Also yesterday I left my evoker in Wm ON AFK in the Central Encampment in Emerald Dream - so should be safeish? Nah - I returned when I was being killed and guards didn’t even bother the assailant too much

World PVP has always been about having an advantage over your enemy. There’s not much to it past that. One guy attacks the other guy because they know they can win otherwise they wouldn’t bother.

I think people have this warped opinion of what world PVP is. It’s always a short fight. One side beating the other.

Go back to vanilla the legendary Soutshore vs Tarren Mill fights. The fights themselves lasted a few minutes at most. The Horde would usually win the initial engagement, Alliance would pull back to Soutshore, maybe a few fights happened until a guy went to Ironforge and called reinforcements. The Alliance would outnumber the Horde, they’d get wiped out and usually that was the end of it.

The only true PVP, with big battles with a slow moving line that got pushed back and forth were in Alterac Valley. That’s it. Incidentally the one Battleground where people avoid PVP like it’s the black plague.
