There are no more easy WQ. They all seem to take a minimum of 5 minutes. Ive also noticed a trend of WQ objectives being hidden until you complete the first objectives.
WQ: Kill 15 of X Kills 14 and thinks 1 more left WQ: BUT WAIT! THERES MORE! UGH WQ: Kill Big Boss fine WQ: BUT WAIT! THERES MORE! wtf WQ: Use Item from Big Boss clicks WQ: Rewards 5 anima …
Taken from US forums.
WQ’s in BfA were already worst then in Legion, but In Shadowlands? Are pathetic, with little to no rewards.
I liked Legions and BFAs world quests a lot better than the Shadowlands ones. Really would like them to go back to BFA/Legion style ones.
The only WQ that are the same are pet battles ones, I like doing these as they are easy and only take a minute or two.
The minigame style ones are ok I suppose like jumping between platforms or flying through hoops.
But those really long ones that are like full quests I try and avoid most the time.
This and I don’t get it, why Blizzard removed the WQ’s group addon from Legion. A lot of people used it and it made it easier to complete WQ’s and was not against “fair-play”. Many times while doing Legion WQ’s using that addon, I often stayed more, if there were people who needed to kill … more mobs or something, while I was done.
Yeah the SL world quests are terrible. More time consuming and less rewarding than before.
The gear is useless and will keep being useless even with all the renown or w/e upgrades. The anima…well, is anima. I couldn’t care less about farming anima.
And the gold ones I can make ten times more gold farming elethium in the maw for the same amount of time.
Bad design.
It’s pretty evident Blizzard have intentionally made things take longer in SL, with multi staged WQs, the ton of Progress % based WQs, removal of the whistle, etc.
And worse? It’s the same WQs over and over again with little rotation in them throughout the week!
I feel like the World Quests are very themed, which is good.
I absolutely feel the Kyrian vibe whenever I do World Quests in Bastion. Lots of trials, lots of flying, lots of Forsworn.
I don’t really mind that the World Quests take longer and have more than a single objective or step to complete. There’s more meat on them, so to speak. There’s often some story and context to what you’re doing. I like that.
Is the reward great? Nah, but I don’t think it needs to be either. If it’s compelling, then World Quests become a mandatory grind like in previous expansions. I quite like that they’re optional in Shadowlands and it’s something you can do if you feel like doing some casual solo stuff.
There are many ways I would like to improve World Quests, but I do think these are better than the out-of-the-box World Quests in BfA. The notorious example is that there’s a dangerous foe nearby, and then you look and it’s an oversized crab or seagull.
Those World Quests were low effort. Shadowlands doesn’t have too many of those, which is good!
I skip the Gold WQs, I mean what’s the point? 270 gold is the equivalent of picking 2 herb nodes.
Maybe these will be more profitable latter on but considering how long these take to complete I doubt it.
Idd, world quests should be more variated. In bfa we had some to just kill a mob and have it done which made it more fun to do so. The SL ones are really irritating me too and I’m not really bothering every day to do them sadly enough.
