[Wrath] Character Rename

Hello there :slightly_smiling_face:

I had the question at General Discussion but thought I’d ask here for safety.

I want to rename one of my toons in Wrath Classic as follows:

  • Delete the character.
  • Remake the character as a lvl 1 toon with the same name.
  • Undelete the original character, to have the name change window pop up.

As there is no option to purchase a name change there, and my only other, known option being having its name flagged for a change, I’d rather try a safer route so additional toons aren’t accidentally caught up in it, mine or others.

Is it possible to do this safely, without losing this character?

You’ll not able to undelete a character when there is already an active character with the same name.

(I know it wasn’t available in TBC or beforehand.)

Yea it’s still not available in Classic WoW I think.

Have fun and rename it to something awesome!

In game name change, which is there in the ingame store. The way you want to try won’t work.
