worst part is they are making the classes like legion and bringing back the boring star profession system and now you cant have trade window mailbox window or AH window open because it closes down also covers you whole screen.
This wonât happen, nor would I want it to since I like to solo old content. But the problem with your suggestion is; people would pick the raid thatâs the easiest/fastest and just run that one. Period. And all the other content would be dead weight.
I agree that the world content activities become âuselessâ too soon. But boring is subjective; I like most of them.
And yes, I think DF world content needs an AP like feature; not a mandatory grind, but an optional one. Like⌠Every 10k -insert points name here- earned, gives you a 0.5 ilvl increase for WQ rewards. This way world content players can reach higher ilvls, but it will take a long time and itâs way, way, way more efficient to take the traditional routes (pvp, raiding or M+). But at least it would be something to work towards; a bit of progress.
Alternatively it could just be more cosmetic rewards, but honestly; thereâs loads of those already and more coming in 10.0.5. So Iâm not sure that would be the best âcarrotâ for an AP like system. Alternatively it could be a bit of power that only works outside in the world - a buff of some kind that increases with every X amount of âAPâ.
Just your personal opinion. I am glad there is so much stuff to do if i want to. I didnt play in legion but i heard pretty bad things aswell. So not sure. I prefer the worldcontent now much more than in wrath.
Didnt play in MoP aswell, but if thats where the sweet spot was i will be happy if they adjust it in DF.
Itâs an entirely separate and very convoluted system, not something that complements raids and dungeons, well except for the mats.
Crafting is even more pointless now if youâre doing regular PvE content because you can randomly get an upgrade thatâs gonna be better than the item you spent so much time crafting, again, because all rewards are random.
Totally agree, well Blizzard can keep going in this direction and when they have no players left since the majority of players are casual players they will only have themselves to blame.
I love mythic plus but i donât love it enough to do 18s i am just not comfortable with them, it took me long enough to feel comfortable with 15s and as a casual player i found 15s pretty challenging but at least i was rewarded by vault item so it was something to work for.
I have to complete 8 mythic 18s for my weekly chest? No thanks ill play something else.
I see your point totally and i actually do agree with you but look at the reward⌠its trash and you know i have not seen a single player use it because they all use the dragon riding mount.
Why not give us at least a flying mount so we can use it in the next expansion or some sort of customisation for the DF mount? or better still both⌠A ground mount is just so out of touch its 2023 who uses ground mounts now a days?
Agree with everything said here, and itâs the main reason i stopped playing WoW during ToS, Uldir, and then again at the end of Castle Nathria.
Driving players to grind out gear for very slight ilevel increases through rng systems is not fun, and it only creates apathy. It make it difficult to switch to an alt and actually enjoy your time playing, because you feel bad about not grinding out M+ for that extra 0.2 ilevel increase. It also makes gearing feel unsatisfying, because any item you loot, will never be the max ilevel for that slot, you will always be able to grind out a slightly higher version by investing more time. While that sounds good, itâs not for the average player, itâs just unrewarding.
In previous expansions, you do your raids, you get your badges, you move on and play another game or play another class. You either get your bis / upgrade or you donât.
Big true, I havenât felt satisfying gearing up a character since Legion because it feels endless and impossible to achieve unless you are a mythic raider, which is again unreasonably demanding for most people.
The result is that you stop playing on a low note rather than being satisfied with what youâve achieved (BiS or close to it).
I mean, I knew it will be bad and this is no surprise.
Ion managed to release THE worst 3 expansions ever, in WoW history : BfA , Shadowlands and now DragonflightâŚ
âŚ
âŚ
âŚand the guy is still the director of WoW. Imagine who runs Blizzard, LOL!
What?!
Legion had Legendaries, Class Halls, Artifact Weapons and Mythic + and World Quests for the very first time. Brand new content. It was amazing.
Dragonflight has ⌠Dragonflight, UI extravaganza and thatâs basically it.
You could actually get to 4.8k-ish gs without touching a raid before ICC in 3.3.
Youâd spam RHCâs, and/or do FoS and PoS on normal for triumph emblems, and get 226-32 gear minimum for almost every single gear slot, and you could buy T9, which had nice set bonuses for most specs.
I could easily do ICC on 12 chars and not be too far behind on dps in 10nm. Itâs not too difficult, honestly, apart from the end wing bosses (Pepe, Cindy and LK mostly).
In case of T10, this is true on the other hand. But again, even T9 rocks
Which is why Iâm not fond of retailâs endgame. Doing a HC+ feels much more rewarding (even if itâs overtuned on certain affixes) than getting burnt out spamhealing a squishy tank on even a +5, and I was doing 16-17s at the end of SL. I feel like Iâm actually making progress and there isnât too much rush either, peeps are more willing to try over and over again if we screw up.
That too⌠imagine being able to only get 10 valor emblems a week in Ulduar patch from dungeons. No thanks.
Which reminds me of rep grinds⌠in Retail I only get to go in a bite sized pace with reps that barely reward anything good.
In Classic I can just do my dungeons and passively get to Exalted for catchup gear, accountwide head enchs, and even some recipes for item enhancements that I can make and sell for some pocket money. And in case of Sons of Hodir, buy relics en masse, turn them in en masse, and skip a bunch of dailies if I so feel like that. (Which I like more than in retail, again. Might be the simplicity?)
Anywho⌠sorry for the rant, Iâm generally not that kind of person, but I had to let this out.
I agree with you. Dragon riding must stay and be unlocked for the rest of the continents.
The only thing realy needed is a mount diversity for dragon flying. 4 models with different colours is not enough.
I wonder how many subscribers, and how many store purchases they would lose if they shut down retail. It would be funny if you got your wish, and they did shut down retail, and then you found they couldnât keep Wrath going either because they didnât have enough income to pay for it.
You donât say??? Is that maybe why 5-70% of subs in the west are exclusively in classic. Retail wow was slowly destroyed over the span of 6 xpacs. Itâs great that Dragonflights does some things better according to the last batch of addicts, but itâs not enough and little to late.
Like I didnât even pay for dragonflights, and I still feel robbed, of my time and hope for Blizzard. Iâll meet them again on Steam and yâall are gonna shower me in clown rewards, iâm farming the life out of them. or not. Donât care.
