Wrath of the Lich King Classic in 2023?

Greetings!

Has anybody heard any rumours or anything about Wrath of the Lich King Classic possibly getting released in the year 2023, two years after TBC Classic got released?

Thanks in advance!

There’s no rumours, only speculation and calculations.

Really? That sounds good.

Once phase 3 releases / gets announced, we can extrapolate slightly better. My initial guess at the end of classic was Wrath in early to mid 2023, but if P3 releases shortly after the announced KT/Vashj/Moro nerf, earlier dates would become feasible, up to the point of aforementioned December 2022. Tho that still seems too early to me. My guess is Spring 2023.

november 2022. tbc wont last 2years people are qutting left and right since there is nothing to do if you arent into arenas and the time invest with all the attune crap and revered for keys doesnt motivate anyone to make alts.

Yeah, lets hurry up to play Naxx again for 4 months… that will bring back people! ^^

In all honesty, Ulduar and ICC dragged over 2 years is something I personally feel I might not want to do … again.

In the end of WOTLK, I would have NOTHING against cata! As long as they keep TBC ERA realms.

No way WotLK Classic is released beyond December 2022.

Wrath still hasn’t been confirmed, but I think it was teased originally. And assuming Blizzard would want to keep classic going at least until it’s “peak”, Wrath would be on the table, considering it was WoW’s most popular expansion. And the amount of people who wanna redo it outweighs either of the other classic servers.

Plus it having around 15 dungeons and 8 raids by the end gave people plenty to do with alts and such when your main got all the good gear and maxed professions if you wern’t into PvP. Plus Wintergrasp was a fun open world battleground, I found, as someone who isn’t much into PvP personally.

I believe Wrath came out roughly 2 years after TBC originally, so them keeping to that kinda time scale (maybe tuning it down a bit if TBC classic is beginning to lose players) would probably be a decent enough idea, so I’d expect an announcement of it this year in the latter half of this year.

(I have no source of any of this, just a personal feeling. And I truly hope Wrath classic becomes a thing. Me wants muh Wrath funtimes again.)

We can only dream

BT/MH is releasing next week. Next one is ZA and then Sunwell. Judging from classic and TBC classic, a phase lasts 3-4 months. If we take the later, that brings us to end of January 2023 for Wotlk pre-patch (which will last no longer than 2 months, and that is a very exagerated number). Even if they make P5 of TBC classic longer, no way we could postpone final Wrath classic release to summer 2023 (which would be 2 years from TBC classic release).

Also I am a bit scarred of P4 because that’s ZA only, which is just Karazhan V2. I can’t imagine people farming ZA for 4 months and P4 brings nothing besides ZA. I bet that this phase will be a bit shorter than others, because otherwise players would pause their subs mid-P4 and wait until P5 release.

I want Cata more then Lich King)

It will come. Dont worry.
