Wrathion or Sabellian

Even more reason why he shouldn’t be trusted with any position of authority.

yeah but hes the more intresting character

Is he really, though? He is the usual swashbuckling rogue who is “willing to do what others won’t” stereotype. He’s the hot, young anti-hero. What Illidan used to be before “dark, brooding and mysterious” went out of fashion.

IMO we could use some more no-nonsense, straightforward characters like Sabellian and a bit less “fan service fantasy”

I think he’d rather stay on Highmountain as a Spiritwalker to assist future chieftains.

personal opinion i guess

female pandas have best animations, im willing to go to court on that one

I’d rather go with Sabellian. While Wrathion has been doing his best to atone for himself and save Azeroth (again) in 8.3, he is still inexperienced in a way as we saw in the Waking Shores. It’s likely the plot is building up so that he learns to be a better person, but Sabellian had been in Outland trying to keep the dragonflight alive and he does have the years of experience under his belt.

Here’s another question: What are the odds they just end up banding together like everyone else has recently being doing in the story? No one leader, just a council/partnership-type situation.

Bascially 0. because the Flight and the Motherstoen needs a Black Aspect
:person_shrugging:
And Wrathion would never say no to that aspectral might, deserved or not

It depend on how kid-friendly current storyline was written. If it is - then it’s Wrathion, if it isn’t - still Wrathion, but horaay, we got Sabellian as black aspect and he is new void puppet but hiding it perfectly

I agree with this statement completely

I was always disappointed when ebonhorne, in neltharion, just 2 secs b4 the last fight, leave the place sayin farewell. Its a bit… coward maybe?
Onyxia2023! Resurrect her and give her power!

Just pluck an uncorrupted Neltharion from an alternate time line, and let him sort this out

Sabellian.

Because Wrathion’s dragonform is creepy. Yeah I’m shallow like that.

Sabellian, even though I don’t like him very much. He seemed to come across more likeable on beta (although it isn’t always easy to tell when the cinematics are a work in progress), and I think they changed his character because the choice between him and Wrathion was too easy.

Compared to Wrathion he’s modesty incarnate - who wouldn’t be? - but compared to the other aspects he still comes across quite full of himself and believes he’s entitled to be aspect because he’s ‘better’ than Wrathion. Of course his argument is that he did his duty to the flight and that’s what makes him a better candidate, but Wrathion can argue that he did his duty to Azeroth.

So, the question comes down to what should the leader of a flight put first - their flight or Azeroth? I think the focus should be on doing what’s good for their flight, within the context of what’s good for Azeroth. Maybe Sab should be the black aspect and Wrathion should become the liaison between all the flights and the rest of Azeroth. I could see that role satisfying Wrathion’s sense of self importance while Sab gets to focus on the thing he does best, which is looking after his flight.

…endangering it in multiple times is not part of the job description

I’d really hate this, but I’d also bet money on it happening sadly. I feel like they’re building up to something like this.

I’m not supporting him, simply saying that it’s an argument he can make and defend.

Both. I like the manly Sabby but they both will look nice ruling together.

i was supporting sabelian but now i have to support wrathion…hes friends with humans and killed garrush. based?

dual emperrors are already in lore as the AQ twin emperrors…;p so that would be ok in my book. one would be responsible for the diplomacy/serious business and one for covert ops and getting things done
