I started the dragonflight quest and it leads me to the left dock on the pier. The dockmaster says its the right ship but when I board it I end up in Kul Tiras and not the DF starting area. What’s going on?
Those that boarded the ship with me do NOT end up in Kul Tiras, I end up alone on the ship as it ports.
Tried this 3 times now. Always end up in BFA and not DF. Went to chromie and she talks about DF and won’t let me chose an expansion.
Are you absolutely sure you’re getting on the ship to the Dragon Isles? The ship to Kul Tiras also leaves from that pier, and seems to arrive more frequently than the DI one.
I didn’t realise that and kept trying and finally ended up in the DF starting area. Fifth time was the charm. I have no idea why they would make both ships start at the same dock and make the BFA one appear much more frequent.
It is definitely a disappointing decision by Blizzard to have these two ship services use the same pier stop. Stormwind harbour isn’t that cramped, they really should have learned from Auberdine how space-efficient piers should be designed.
I am unsure if they are, therefor even if they aren’t identical they’re close enough in looks that I didn’t even notice a difference. To me it felt like I was taking the same ships, four times it got me to BFA and the last time to DF.
one goes left one goes right on departure. Not helpful if your flying in hot thinking your missing it. Stupid idea tbh put a portal instead of a wait timer on an NPC and a boring boat ride. What is it a 5 minute waste of timer?
just get on the boat facing to the right, the one on the left has been sailing to kul tiras since bfa , and blizz were to lazy to build a new pier for the broken isles boat , or you could just use the portal in the mage tower and go straight to valdrakken as i did with 30 alts, get on your dragon go to the trainer ,then fly to the starting area
You have to speak to him to get the countdown. He doesn’t have it otherwise and when you don’t know that, then you don’t realise, like me, that there’s an NPC having a countdown to begin with.
