Wrongful PERMABAN for "hacking/botting"

After not playing WoW for a couple days, I tried logging on to see my entire WoW account was permanently banned, with an email telling me I had been banned for using “Unauthorized Cheat Programs (Hacks)”/botting/buying gold or using a third party programs.
I know it’s hard to disprove, but I literally did nothing of the sort. Maybe they thought that another program that was running while I played was malicious, though when I play wow I usually just watch YouTube/Twitch, and all I did the prior week was run old raids and do duels. I haven’t downloaded any new addons for a while, and all they do is enhance UI and sound, so that shouldn’t have counted as cheating, right?

I made a ticket, and more than 24 hours later got a response telling me that they had investigated my account, and that the “evidence provided is correct”, without telling me exactly why I got banned more than “breaching the terms of use”. At the end they said the matter was “closed” and that they wouldn’t look to enter into further discussion on the subject.

So I made another ticket, and the next day got a response basically telling me that the case is closed, and that I shouldn’t make more appeals/tickets cause they won’t consider them.

So that’s it, all my progress over nearly a decade down the drain, all the alts I leveled for 10.1 and my HC classic character gone forever, wrongfully banned for something I didn’t do. Was totally gonna get Gladiator and rank 1 solo shuffle title this week too, but I guess not anymore. FeelsGoodMan

Im guessing this is a different account ur posting on?? Or can u still post with banned accounts?

I don’t think I ever saw a banned person ever to admit they were banned rightfully so I don’t expect you to share the whole story.
All I know is Blizzard wouldn’t lose the money from a customer without a real reason. And they also pay people to investigate the accounts.
What I’ve learnt is how much wow players like to exploit everything and then go Pikachu shocked face when that blow up on their face, like when I had to take a break from solo shuffle because mostly everyone was going /afk when losing.

Yeah like I said, I have no way to disprove this so you’re just gonna have to take my word for it. I got banned for doing literally nothing wrong, I’ve been somewhat toxic at times in the past yes, but done none of the things they banned me for, which is why it’s such a shock to me that I’m permanently banned forever without any specifics. I use game time as my sub, and have about a month left, but I was kinda looking forward to subbing again in 10.1. Can still post on this account though, strangely enough.

Can you copy characters to new account?

Wish I could but no

A friend of mine did that when he got banned. Bought new game, transfered chars to new account.

I didn’t think Blizzard permabanned anymore.

Were you using a program like T-morph to change the way you look?

Also using VPNs and things like teamviewer can get you a ban. Did you receive a large amount of gold without giving anything in return?

Running the same dungeon or raid many times can give a fake report.

You cannot transfer characters off a banned account.

All you can do is try to appeal it until they actually stop you from appealing, ask them to escalate the appeal.

Haven’t done any of these things, but thanks for the ideas!

The only other thing I can think if is if you have automated anything, and I do mean anything from fishing to mining or an automatic skill selector.
