WSG marks of honor mail restoration

I was told by Blizzard support to post my request about having the block of restoring WSG marks of honor be lifted until a couple of days before the next phase hits, so that well-earned marks can be spent on reputation.

I haven’t stocked up on many marks, but I saw no tangible benefit to consuming the marks when the system, which has been in place for a long time prior to this update, would result in them providing something extra aside from just the reputation gain.

I agree with the decision, but I question the implementation, as it needlessly punishes anyone that had not already restored their marks prior to this spontaneous change.

Please let us restore our marks up until Feb 5th, a day before they get purged from the mailbox.

Couldn’t agree more… it’s good that they fixed it so we cannot take more than 20 marks into Phase 2.
But at least let us still restore them now. Makes absolutely no sense to take those away from us in phase 1

It makes sense to me.

Elaborate?

It is punishment for trying to abuse restoration services.

I would agree with your statement, if they removed the ones already restored in the mailbox at the time of the update.

This is a punishment on only the unfortunate ones that didn’t already have their marks restored. If you’re going for punishing people, then why punish only some of them? It seems to me, that Blizzard made a grace period to use the ones already restored in your mailbox, because they didn’t approach this from an angle of punishment, but the update ultimately just further cements ‘abuse often and abuse early’.

We all earned those marks by going into WSG, I personally solo queue’d 99% of my matches.

Again I implore Blizzard to allow us to restore our marks for the phase, so we can at least use the marks for well-earned rep.

It cant be “abusing” if blizzard is providing the option to restore them before no?

Theres no use in punishing anyone here as this is neither a bug or glitch that lead to unintended results.

I did not farm any marks at all myself but people that farmed should just get the marks and be allowed to turn them in before next phase.

In this case its not the players fault that blizzard did not respond early enough to the matter about WSG marks and they certainly were aware about it quite early this is not something that just came up recently.

It was being discussed as soon as people saw that ashenvale rep gains stop at revered.

You had 24 hours to use the marks, if you didn’t use them, you wanted to abuse the recovery to level up in phase 2. It’s right that they don’t allow people like you to restore marks

You are using a service for something it was not intended for, in this case to gain an advantage you normally wouldn’t have due to the limited number of marks you can have at one point in time. The fact that it is possible to restore marks has nothing to do with it. You can delete them by mistake, and in that case using the restoration service would be perfectly reasonable. But that’s not what you’re doing, you’re using it to get around an intended limitation in the game which I - and Blizzard it seems - would consider abuse of the service.

Please Blizzard read your own conditions stated below:

Article ID: 8893

  • Mail will remain in your mailbox for 30 days. After 30 days, the mail is deleted and any items or gold attached to the mail is lost.

  • You can use our Mail Return page to restore sent, deleted, or expired mail. You will receive the restored items in your character’s mailbox.

I was on holidays and could not redeem the said marks (with proof is needed). According to your general rules I am supposed to be able to recover mail deleted from my mail box up to 30 days. This is currently not the case. Find a solution to restore the said marks, send this request to the appropriate team since the Customer Service in unable to resolve my issue.

I have been playing WoW since 2007, this is totally unacceptable. As of for now I already took measures by unsubbing from WoW

It is absolutely unacaptable from a company like Blizzard to change a mechanic that has been in the game for 20 years with huge impact on player within 1 hour without any prior notice. Find a way to recover the WSG marks.

The little jimmy who wanted to abuse mail recovery to level up in phase 2 is crying here too

Then let’s make that the quest completed before february 8th on the quest log don’t give out xp, what do you say ?

In one word : NO

You are not concerned by the current bug, as such your input is not relevant for blizzard, don’t comment

The difference being that is something which is working exactly how it is intended to work and does not involve any intentional abuse of any service or mechanic.

Let me guess…you got back the day Bliz made the announcement, how convenient !

This is not how it works, it expired, meaning I have 30 days to get them back, I understand people don’t want them to be used for lvling but we should be able to retrieve them before feb 8th, as it has been for the last 20 years

You should have handed in your marks right away, instead of abusing the system and thinking that you are the smartest. They did the right thing by banning the restoration of the marks. I love watching people like you sit and cry on the forum.

You had 24hrs to turn them in.
Item restoration wasn’t intended for such a wanted abuse. More like when you accidentally deleted something.

It‘s always funny seeing the length people go to abuse a system AND then be so entitled crying on the forums about it.

Edit: reading your posts you „already took hard measures and unsubbed from wow“
So I guess….problem solved. Can we have your gold?
