According to Wowhead there are only 138 of these belts in existence, and there seems to be a lot of people trying to buy this; I’ve already added these people and I’m waiting on responses, however, I thought it would be a good idea to also post on the forums should anybody here be interested.

Not too sure. I’ve just been told multiple times that what I have is rare, and worth a lot of gold. According to Wowhead there are only 139 worldwide, you can check the statistics for yourself.

That being said, this is a WoD-era BoE belt that might sell for a bit depending on how lucky you are with finding a collector. This is also highly dependant on timing.
It’s a very rare drop, with the removal of the Big Crates of Salvage, but it can still drop from world mobs. But, about only 138 of them being in existance, I don’t know where you got that from, could you please source it? That number stands out to me because the item has 138 ilvl, so maybe there was a misunderstanding.
However, you might be interested to know that… people have difficulty selling this item, I think, because of the aforementioned factors: timing+demand. I know some people have given up after trying to sell it for months and tried to get rid of them, lower 15k and even at 67g.
That being said… these past few weeks the regional price has increased again and it can be quite valuable.
I’m actually not too sure why it increased recently, however, I’ve seen it on some Auction Houses for upwards of 500k, and actually selling for that amount.
My claim that there are only 139 in existence can be supported by the Wowhead drop statistics on the item’s page. The drop chances are under 0.01% for most mobs in the area, I was just extremely lucky to have it drop whilst killing the Tanaan jungle mobs for daily quests.
I’m sure I’ll be able to find a buyer, and, if not, I’ll be happy to keep it for myself even though I don’t play a Plate-wearing character often.
I have had an offer of 300k so far, which I am considering, however, I want to see if any other people would be interested first.
This is indeed a rare drop,and hard to come by.The thing why it is disirable is cause for some reason a world drop from WoD completes Ulduar tier set 10 man version of a paladin set #logic.
Also the 25 man version requiers the Molten Front daily grind,from Cataclysam 30 days grind to get wrist,or something like that to complete the set.
I my self never got it.But these are the reasons why its expensive,for tmog collectors/completionist.
We on Draenor dont have a single one on the AH,Draenor.
Aren’t those numbers just from the people who use the Wowhead addon? You can multiply those numbers by the percentage of people who don’t use the addon.
Besides if you don’t have it you can just hide your belt.
Average region price is 182,783g. It’s not special in away. Just a world drop and still available. Nobody really farms WoD area so the price is a little inflated.
Prices vary from realm to realm with the less populated being inflated.
Sorry to say it mate do not use wowhead for auction stuff.
Well I’ve had an offer for 300k and we’re going through with it right now, so I’m sure it is a little bit special, it’s not exactly nothing. The drop chance is also 0.01% so it’s not so “available” as you may think/claim.
There are currently 24 on the AH across EU according to The Undermine Journal, with an average Auction price of 384K, that doesn’t mean though that they will sell for that. Without having access to TSM at work, I can’t tell what the actual average sale value is.
Sale price is never a good indicator of actual value imo - I prefer to see the avg sale value of said item.
