Hi everyon1 , I just got enough soul ash for another legendary and i dont want to regret this choice so I’m wondering which one is most suitable to pick for pvp. The way I see it jade ignition is the one I chose but honestly its not THAT great. In m+ sure its DECENT not GREAT and I now want a legendary that can work well in pvp.
Amongst the 4 options I wonder which one is most suitable for a bg style setup because all of these seem really viable in my eyes but if any1 else has any tips or advice on these, please let me know.
Keefers :-
NO one will ever escape from you. Ive seen other ww monks use it and we all have those moments where we wish we didnt have to waste a roll to get into range of some1 really not too close but not too far either. Its incredible for staying on a hunter or mage and getting close to enough to redisable. So this seems like a very good option in my eyes.
Invoker’s Delight :-
Not much to say. Mini Lust + Alpha Tiger haste makes GCDs and rotation extra smooth BUT then again it is on a 2min cd. Still Very nice burst from what ive seen in arenas from other ww monks. It practically forces all defensive cds possible.
Escape from Reality :-
I’ve seen monks pair this with the self vivify conduit which gives a 91% increased healing on vivify and the extra kite makes you pretty much immortal since running away and healing is 50% easier with this legendary.
Xuen’s Treasure :-
I havent seen people use this one or there may be people using it but i havent noticed it so far but theoretically if u combine this with weapons of order and the serenity talent as separate cooldowns then you can just spam blackout kicks into RSKs/FoFs without a thought for mastery since ur gonna get the mastery on the main RSK/FoF anyways and a fist of fury crits are to be respected from what ive seen so far. The additional cd reduction would make interrupting fists of fury pointless for enemy teams since you can have it back fast anyways. This seems decent enough to use in PvE too where crit is not halved.
Again this is theoretical and i have yet to see someone use it in practice.
So among these 4, Which would people here suggest for bgs as a WW monk. Keeping in mind that since people are whining about ww monks and we might get nerfed in a week or two.
This is from Trill. The complexity / limit monk multiple rank 1s raid World firsts (1) and MDI.
Invoker’s Delight is generally the best for all content, you can make arguments for other legendaries such as Jade Ignition for M+, or Keefer’s Skyreach for PvP burst but they both have shortcomings, such as being unable to Tiger Palm the target you want to burst on until you are actually ready to burst, or Jade Ignition being extremely weak on Single Target. Invoker’s Delight has no downfalls and is extremely flexible
I just crafted myself Keefer’s Skyreach for pvp and I can promise you it’s tons of fun. I don’t know if it’s BIS but zooming from person to person doing crits like there’s no tomorrow is just priceless imo.
In PvE it makes sense but in PvP since you can only use it every 2 mins, I was wondering why it’s better since I feel something with more consistency would be a better choice?
Keefers is not more consistent, its a 100% chance procc with a 1min cd on TIGER PALM a button that you more or less press all the time. You would have to prepare to be able to burst properly 15sec beforehand which is just straight up bad. Also if you get hit by 1cc your 1min cd 6sec window is just over. WW also is a burst heavy class so why would a mini BL every 2min be bad in your opinion? Also using a defensive legendary when you die every stun anyway is just worthless.
Tbh I couldnt really care much about the crit to be fair, it’s more about the gap closing.
I feel like Keefer’s is good rn because it’s still kinda the start of the expansion and people are getting used to playstyle and stuff.
The moment people start wising up and realize that it’s probably in their best interest to run away/not engage with a monk who has Xuen up then I feel maybe the FoF/RsK legendary or the keefers will be the way to go since we wont have to waste a roll to get into range of someone.
Again this is all just theoratical and just my thoughts.
Let’s also keep in mind that if the Invoker legendary is being used by so many monks and is doing amazing in both PvE and PvP then we can be sure that theres a nerf coming soon in some shape or form.
