WW Survivability

Or the lack thereof… it irks me for two reasons:

  1. We started DF being balanced around the fact that we were a glass cannon with the most delicate glass but a big cannon. They quite understandably tuned-down the burst but did nothing to adjust the other half of the equation
  2. WW actually has weaker healing than non-hybrid glass cannon classes like rogue and mage! We can dump our entire resource bar into a handful of interruptible heals and get back less HP than a rogue would in the same timeframe just from passive recouperator and soothing darkness healing without dedicating a single global or point of energy to it. I’m OK with our healing requiring some resources and casts to do given we are, at the end of the day, a hybrid. However, if we are able to complete casts without interruption we should be rewarded with healing that is at least slightly more than passively-healing monkey specs like DH

I strongly feel that vivify healing could be increased by at least 50% without being unbalanced.

I also feel expel harm would be better with a slightly longer CD but a more impactful heal.

I really don’t want WW to become S-tier and OP because then we’ll catch nerfs to our core kit which feels good atm but I’m really confident that neither of the above changes would even come close to doing that. They’d be more impactful in wpvp and BGs than arena tbh but they’re important changes that need to happen!

Even our burst isn’t as bursty anymore at the moment. Right now we are a high B tier spec. We either need healing or a proper set of defenses that don’t need to be combined to be decent.

I’m happy with WW’s offensive balancing. We can kill stuff but we’re not OP.

The issue with WW is we are quite literally the most fragile spec in the entire game. Even mages are more robust!!!

I think shamans & hunters would like a word with your exaggeration.

They need defensive buffs as well. Doesn’t mean ww is lacking it.

Oh behave! They might get trained a lot (for different reasons) but neither are even close to as squishy as WW.

Shaman has a multitude of heals, they just lack sufficient escape tools so enemies will maintain near 100% uptime on them.

Hunters could do with a defensive buff now that they lost double tap but they still have a bubble and a chunky instant heal. They’re also not a hybrid so the comparison is bad to begin with.

Windwalkers are literally made of wet paper. Leather armor, weak defensives and truly embarrassing healing.

Leather armor
Druid can switch to Bear form and to become immortal with leather armor
DH has more def\heal passively than Monk
Rouge has more heal passively than Monk cast all what we have

Cloth armor
Priest has more defence and Warlock too

I wish to add “Iron body” passive skill that make our armor defence equal with plate armor defence. it should help

I really hope they increase the healing from WW, it’s just so so so bad, probably like a 50% buff to vivify would be enough, maybe,
but also just our tankyness, it’s so bad, I always feel so vulnerable as WW when I jump in the action, I feel anything can kill me within a few seconds if I dont watch it, even with def cds up, it feels like it does almost nothing, unlike probably every other class/spec I’ve played, I feel so much more safer then WW, maybe as MM hunt I also feel super squishy but at least I dont have to go into the fight to do something, I can stay ranged.

I think they should buff karma also, make it heal us like it was before or something, atm it’s so weak, back in the day when you put karma on someone, they just had to run, it was really good, now when you put it on someone, they literally dont care at all, just go right through it, and it falls off in like 1 second… they need to make it stronger again so its something worthwhile to press.

Maybe also a stam buff or something, to make us less squishy.

Now if you give all of this to Monk, we’d be probably way too OP, but we definitely need some of it!

I love my WW (my revelation for this xpack, it is so much fun and fluid) but i agree. I have the feeling the playstyle is land a aoe stun, go nuclear with earth wind fire + windlord + pop defensive CDs, hope stuff die and fly away.

In 1v1 situation it is much better though.

Where? M+? Raid? PvP? Cause in m+ WW is easily top 3 dps spec currently.

Honestly I would prefer

1.less burst damage
2.more sustain damage
3.good survivability in action

return our skill → “Inner Strength” - Each Chi you spend reduces damage taken by 2% for 5 sec, 5 stacks
And
Just change activation → combo strikes in a row or if you are not move,
grants 3% less damage taken \ 5 stacks for 12 second

I want to have fun in battle long time \ not 5 second and after run away or die
i don`t want to run from my enemies 90% of time

More like 300%.

Enhance non enhances heals or Moonkin Heals tripple to quadrupple our heals, whiles they dont lose damage due being Energy starved, tho that lets us recover it twice as fast as other hybrids.

Still that math still doesnt check out.
