Sorry, but WWs have the WORST mobility in game, I don’t mean movement, they can move around a map very well, better than most, no, I am talking about mobility to connect to a target. WWs are AWFUL at catching a target.
The nature of rolling with its long animation is so telegraphed and one dimensional that simply strafing creates havoc for WW. And with the dash going and what I assume will be a janky and sometimeish gap closer with the new roll functionality you will be screwed. The only reason I cannot stand WW for more than a few BGs is the utter garbage mobility.
Also with serenity gone, that is a HUGE resason to not even touch it at all. Why take away something so useful for pvp to replace it with more ‘pets’ that can be CC’d or whatever. Yeah, you couldn’t pay me to play WW next xpac.
Yep, I’m a Glad monk veteran since MoP, replacing my Ret Pally since TBC and I completely agree that they gutted the Monk beyond belief and took a big 180 turn to honor the vision they think the Monk should have while it distances itself from the Martial Arts mindset: less is more.
Dont need flashy animations to enjoy the feel
It’s all about the martial arts, the hand to hand combat.
Removing Serenity is a big FU to the monk since MoP, I never not once liked SeF.
When you were shoenorned in it with Legion and BFA because of the legendaries, I put my mind to work to make a Serenity option viable and I was the very first person PVP and PVE wise to use the chest guard that increased the crit % on RSK’s which I combined with Serenity.
As for mobility, it’s difficult to connect but the Monks slow/root is very easy to apply and it requires skill to memorize the distance your roll does.
Mobility is pretty good but definitely no longer unique, Ret, Warrior, DH they all keep up and in some aspects surpass the Monks unique mobility.
Sticking to a target isnt much of a problem with the slow but the loss of Serenity absolutely destroyed the fantasy of playing a martial arts class.
Cant imagine playing Shado-Pan with SEF lmao, neither for conduit but here we are.
Seems I’ll be going Ret pally that’s also underperforming for TWW, should they add Serenity back regardless of its state I’ll be all over my Monk once again like honey.
Seems like monk devs are going for the award “worst melee in the game” and they are very creative and successful in getting there. Not worth playing at all, they even make 2piece and 4piece set bonuses all about the low damage Tiger palm LUL. You cant make this stuff up.
Thought i’d finally found my class going forward, absolutely loved it in DF but can see that some of the interactions needed to change to allow for haste scaling. What they’ve done to the mobility has utterly destroyed it for me. Incoming root simulator never being able to reach a target.
I can just Agree with all of you… I really love the Monk class… it just also feels so bad not being heared… dont think any important person from blizzard will read this…
