X-Faction Crafting Orders

Just asking once again for a less painful way to get crafting orders (especially recrafting) done cross-faction.

-(Optional) cross-faction trade chat
-public (re-)crafting order with minimum quality & inspiration option
-some other change to the system

Personally, I’d want option 2, since interacting with trade chat can be annoying. The cap on public orders would need to be raised back up.

Option one could help a lot on the situation. Currently I cannot really pick up many customers from trade chat as the server I am on is Alliance-heavy.

I would not go into the “setting quality” in public orders, as that will end up in people putting in R5 upgrades (which, unless you do not use any extra reagents, is impossible to guarantee without an insight) which can only be guaranteed at a base craft.

I think it would help a lot if players were given the option to give in their own insight, which could lower the prices for crafts (as currently quite a few crafters charge extra for the mettle used for it). It would make it slightly cheaper for people to craft that way.

Maybe a more in-depth tutorial on how craft orders work would also help people understand how the public order system works.

On the topic of setting a minimum quality, an option to choose a minimum attainable quality, including inspiration procs, along with some kind of inclusion of inspiration chance, would be more optimal.
You would need a way to supply extra reagents per craft attempt, or a way to set a payment per attempt if the crafter uses their own materials.

Cross-faction trade chat would be good addition, outside of warmode factions dont exist.
Public orders with minimum quality setting would have repercussions for leveling crafters, Blizzard made a post about it few months ago.

I think they just need to change that crafts can be accepted if with insight the crafter can guarantee a rank 5.

For recrafts they could allow you to pool in enough Materials for X crafts. If the crafter gets an inspiration proc then the item and excess materials they added in gets sent to the customer. I think that would be the cleanest way to do it.

I personally do not think that Blizzard will change on the craft quality iption for public orders, as people would only set rank 5 which locks out those leveling their profession to help out with crafting orders.
