Xal'atath's bargain - Voidbound is fundamentally flawed with current M+ design

Blizzard,

Voidbound affix is bad. It consumes about 8% of party DPS to clear - this creates big strain on timers, much bigger than the other affixes. Cooldown reduction does not compensate the party DPS cost with current updated tuning.

Furthermore, this affix is problematic in fight design like the last boss in Necrotic Wake - with Dark Exile only 2 DPS can DPS the Affix which extends its lifespan. The mob downstairs benefits from Damage Reduction while the Exiled player is downstairs punishes the player by increasing DPS requirement - furthermore, the Exiled player does NOT benefit from cooldown reduction despite having suffered affix’s negative effect.

Change Affix tuning, eliminate design holes like the example above.

With things being as they are, this Affix makes it that M+ every 3 weeks is much, MUCH less enjoyable to play - I am paying for a game I can enjoy playing in 100%, not 66% of the time in M+ game mode.

I expect changes, deliver.

From what I’ve seen, people seem to kill it pretty quickly. I’ll be doing a few later so I’ll find out first hand.

Yikes. Surely they’ll do something about this.

They reverted the change from earlier. I am satisfied with Blizzard acting on data regarding M+.

there was something weird +7s had 24mil and +6 had 9mil shield

this stupid affix is prideful all over again -.- annoying af abd you have to play it because it follows you all the time. if they nerfed the health after they buffed it fine.

The problem comes when it spawns at the same time as another target requires priority dps, for example Stitch-flesh from NW.

Yeah this affix is Gar Bagé.

Really one of those “yeah ill do a few for vault this week” kinda affixes.

Mist (eventhough concidered easier keys) is a good example of this;

1st boss - when he gets vulnerable BOOM affix
2nd boss - clones spawn BOOM affix
3rd boss - intermission hits BOOM affix

3rd and 4th boss Necrotic Wake etc etc etc.

Sure it’s all a Git Gud thing, but did it really have to be this invasive.

This is by design. After the hotfix to scaling the affix now represents a considerable DPS gain, provided the team prioritizes dealing with it while managing any mechanic happening simultaneously.

Blizzard has done a good job at quickly addressing the scaling issue and exhibited enough foresight to maintain the power level of the benefit.

Thank you for addressing the issue in the way it has been addresses.
