XP Buff proves…

No there is a huge difference in what people enjoy doing. A person can find levelling exciting and fun but M plus dungeons boring. Equally someone can find levelling dull and a chore and enjoy gearing up their character and becoming more powerful.

You are stating something dumb, as you’re implying as if it’s some new revelation, when it’s over a decade old.

I thought blizzard always said 10.0 was the corrective path to world of warcraft and 11.0 was susposed to be the massive one? :o

yes and no. low level dungeons are a mess now because people who have like almost their full toolkit like level 50 + are put toghether with people who have very few abilties in dungeons like BfA dungeons which often do require a bit broader toolkit to be cleared smoothly and its sometime complete disaster especialy if you have multiple low level dps with very few or next to none aoe skills.

imo scaling during leveling was a mistake. in general for me scaling in mmorpg is abberation and should have never been implemented unless its higher level player manualy scaling themsleves down to low level player

Well as I specifically reference an event that’s going on today demonstrating how it’s dead I never said I have just magically come to this conclusion, I said it just goes to prove…

Either agree disagree whatever, but don’t be as sad as to use internet anonymity to inflate your ego by making pointless statements to make yourself feel better. (Lots of research into people using internet anonymity I suggest you go read one)

I don’t mind levelling but it’s way too slow for me in DF. I don’t use RDF and I was only getting to 68 by the end of the campaign.

With the buff it only took 7 hours from 60-70 and ~3 of the zones. Which I thought was fine.

It was way better when heirlooms gave bonus exp. Blizz are at it by removing it and giving it back as an event.

I don’t think any name calling is needed. I think you made a perfectly valid observation and I know it’s not a new thing but these events certainly do highlight how people would rather get to end game fast and level up as many chars as possible to take advantage of these kinds of buffs.

I would love for them to put the XP gain back on heirlooms to make them worthwhile using. Others have suggested the more chars you level the bigger XP gain you get or less xp is required to level etc. All good suggestions IMO.

But I also thing those that want slower experiences should be able to have that too. I’ve always thought a tabard that slows them down would be the best solution. Rather than the tedious locking xp method.

Now why would I do that?

If I was gonna do that, I’d use a low level Classic alt to post- Wait…

Is there a specific achievement you want me to demonstrate or something?

It would had been useful if you could had named the buff aka (winds of sanctuary) so that people know what you are talking about.

Thanks for the heads up, time to finish leveling the final alts from ~60 to 70

Apologies if it wasn’t clear, but yes referencing the increase in players levelling new classes due to buff

It helps sweeten the poison of leveling every class possible to 70.
I used timewalking to great effect for reaching 70 on many alts but I am left with the…FLAWED classes that have no tank or healer spec to speed up the queues for myself and 3 lucky dpsers

Yeah I personally find tank specs the best as you can just control the dungeon (if that’s what you’re running) and for the most part they are pretty face roll so long as the healer isn’t afk and dps can hit at least two buttons.

I just spent a lot of time world questing or random questions whilst waiting on my dps, but it’s part of the issue, levelling isn’t a challenge it’s just like being timegated. Buffs like these are great to just remove some of that monotony.

Just got a third char to 70 via this XP event. \o/

I’ve really struggled leveling alts in the last 3 expansions. A lot of that is due to just how repetitive the questing is. At least they’ve regonised this and allow alts to use skips etc.

I think I enjoyed leveling back in TBC and Wrath for a couple of reasons. The worlds were bigger and more varied, you could level 3 characters with only small overlaps in repeated quests. But it could also be the fact that I only had 2 or 3 max level characters at the time.

Legion was good for alts for 2 reasons. The Order Hall campaign gave a unique leveling experience (to a degree) and Invasions (with heirlooms) was quite fast for leveling).

In SL I leveled most of my characters using Threads of Fate with a lot of Pet Battles, profession dailies etc.

In DF my highest alt is a 65 warlock that got there with pet battles primarily so I could finish the Revendreth Sojourner achievement by soloing Halls of Attonement.

WoD had those 300% xp buff potions which could level 90 - 100 in an afternoon doing those bonus objectives.
Legion had those Invasions which sped things up quite a bit.

I wish we had a shortcut to level alts as I have to many now.

Totally forgot about this, this would be good. I’ve never bothered to upgrade heirlooms since they removed the xp buff, the rested buffs aren’t really worth much…

Neither is comically exploding when handing in quests.

Trying to level my orc dk to 70 and I last a few hours before the familiar feeling of repetition swiftly changes to apathetic boredom and I stop playing…

Then my dog looks up and says to itself “thank god he’ll maybe let me out to pee now…”
