XP buff is good and anecdotally the numbers of people I have seen levelling especially in war mode has increased.
It goes to prove levelling is dead and just an ends to a means.
I pray that we get a levelling revamp but until that day, blizz you should seriously just give us a perm xp buff even 25% would be better than nothing because it’s quite frankly for the most part just a period of hours you have to invest before you can play the actual game.
I know they don’t care nor will they read this but I had to get it off my chest
Edit and let’s not forget it would reduce their income from boosts so surprised they don’t nerf xp gained actually
I don’t enjoy levelling. It is a means to an end. There is nothing exciting about repeating the content for the umpteenth time. First time it’s amazing, second can be okay but after that it’s a dull chore. With alts I just want to get to max level as fast as possible.
Usually when I level alts it’s because there’s some endgame content I want to see from a different perspective, not because of how good leveling is atm.
SL was annoying, DF is boring and I can’t even force myself to care about the plot or the characters, but I don’t feel like that’s the reason I don’t have alts.
and with the exepion of dungons all old content is dead and abbondon.
and tbh, many player rush to level cap or intend to, i eman we ahve people who are one day after the relese of the nex expansion already at level cap (and those are the first who cries ter is no contend)
is a long trned only the endgame is teh real deal in game and palyer rush to it and blizz react to it with xp buffs and faster leveling.
Meanwhile on Classic: People playing hardcore specifically so that they’re constantly forced to start over, effectively prolonging levelling on purpose.
Even though i do truly enjoy it at times aswell.
Ofcourse with a new expansion were i like to push to max level asap and prepare gearing for M+ or raiding.
Than the 2nd char i level (pretty fast after number 1) is my ‘‘chill level dude’’ to enjoy all cinematics / do optional story lines and dont care about how long it takes.
Last years i feel like there is no diversity in leveling. I remember chosing a different path to level like: Borean Tundra or Howling Fjord with a different way to get started before it melted together at lvl 76 / 77 or something.
Which didnt really make it different but still, it was a choice.
I always ended each expansion with all classes at max level and a good starter ilvl for the last season of M+ so i can swap mains if i want too.
Dragonflight is the first where i doubt i will manage to do so, because leveling in dragonflight is so bland.
Doing nearly non-stop leveling through this event
Currently timing level 60 around 6 hours played for Demon Hunter
Absolutely love the speed of it so just making the most of it
Been killed a few times by max level though cringe
That its summer and most people took break from wow.
Im glad for those buffs im now mostly done with loam and fyrak events on most of Alts so when i want to chill out i level up my allience Alts as healers fun
Even levelling in the new content is boring once you’ve done it 3-4 times. It’s no wonder boosting services are so profitable. They’re so easy to do as well through mob tagging, makes me wonder if Blizzard is aware and leaves things like that active on purpose so that more people buy Tokens to spend on levelling their chars.
On my last char I levelled I was so sick of the storyline I was actively looking out for quests that were just simple “kill X of thing” rather than ones that involved the story or doing other interactive tasks.
Don’t get me wrong… I liked the story and campaign, it was good… but not good enough to do 5 times.
Nobody hates lvling more than me in the entire world and even I can say that classic lvling is something that can actually be enjoyed compared to retail.
I do think it’s mostly to do with the fact that you pull half a zone in retail and just AoE it down with no worries in the world which makes it pretty dull while in classic you have to keep an eye over your shoulder for gankers (if you play pvp) or respawns/patrols so it keeps you engaged.
