You know that few characters and their arcs could have continuation?
I mean venari was in shadowlands on a mission she said to xalatath “i’ve been to shadowlands i know what the void fears”

I mean im pro using older character arcs.
I want to see bwomsambdi back .He is my favorite loa of death.

I’d honestly rather replay Shadowlands than keep slogging through the mediocrity and yawn-fest that Dragonflight and The War Within have turned out to be.

To me it feels more like TBC Netherstorm 2.0 honestly.
And I’m not here for it. I disliked that zone then and I still dislike it now.

The inside of the domes are fine, I guess.
And Tazavesh is a pretty cool city.

As far as the brokers go, they were one of the less egregious things from Shadowlands, so I’m fine with them being back.

At least getting through it doesn’t take too long. Although grinding renown for the infinite augment rune will be a bit annoying.

Sure, but Shadowlands characters?

Its cut content Zet morris was not suppose to be after Sanctum of domination. It was suppose to be this patch that is now. look at one boss drops a two hander named the [Maw of the Void] that aoe loots stuff.

Reasons it didnt fit the story at the time xal’atath was not in the lore at the moment sylvanas was in the game and they needed to cut her of.

We will probably see sylvanas in the next expack fighting with xal’atath over the locket and helping her sister fight the void curse she has.

Shadowlands has prettiest maps.

Nothing wrong with that. Ethereals and Devourers were a pretty good part of the lore that shadowlands Brought. Sure, the jailer as a villain was rather bad, but just because of that it doesn’t mean the rest should be hated like this just because they were in the same expac.

Let’s stop judging everything of an expanction just for the bad things, and focus just on the individual parts of each. The visuals of SL were stunning, the brokers, devourers and Zereth mortis had quite nice lore (Leaving out the maw’s involvement with the Jailer and Anduin’s arc there), not to mention that they tied it well with K’areshi narrative, giving brokers a way to get out of being just an SL mob and giving them backstory.

Ve’nari being back is honestly great, but it is as well to see other things like Devourers, who were always intriguing to analyse for their nature of consuming all magic. I honestly hope at this point we will get to see Zereth Umbris if anything.

And please, let’s be honest, it’s far better this than cuddling dragons, no? In DF they added a legittimately cool race of Dracthyrs, posing them as super warriors, but then decided to make them silly lizard men for the most part.

after SL they flat out said they missed the mark with it, as players, in general, wanted a more grounded Azeroth experience. opposed to being whisked away to random places

so here we are 3 years later, back in one of those random places they knew was a mistake. likely as it was already made and was cheap

shadowlands lore at least was epic on start .

and then woke crowd happened.

so they did 180 degrees mid SL and we are where we are.

i miss the feeling i had when i watched the SL reveal during blizzcon back then . didnt feel anything close to its epicness since.

so … go go Trump  our version of Thrall :stuck_out_tongue:

as a sidenote - i also miss BfA - it had some genuinly good storytelling and had faction war - something i miss so much .

bdw anyone watched newest episode of south park and seen the wow guy reference  epic :stuck_out_tongue:

I stopped reading after “epic at start”, but then saw your comment with the quote and my brain decided to leave trough my nose.

its the most meaningless word in the English language

its use says far more about the one using it than who its aimed at

using it not only shows a lack of intellect, but a lack of imagination… which is the greater sin

Except this time it’s not a random place. K’aresh was a thing in the lore ever since TBC was created. They are expanding the TBC storyline of Ethereals now, which is a great moove. SL was a disaster from the point of narration from the side of the Jailer, but never said anything about the things people were actually okay with the lore, like Brokers, Devourers and ZM

I miss bfa when we had female and male and horde hated alliance and alliance hated horde.

I didn’t find anything good about Shadowlands. Nothing you listed was good, except maybe some of the visuals, however the ones I am referring to (Ravendred and thats pretty much it) don’t really match up with what WoW’s universe is/was.

Nothing you listed is good and Zereth Mortis “lore” is one of the most damaging things to this franchise.

The main story of SL wasn’t much good, but the zones were great and the covenant stories were great too.

DF wasn’t bad, and I liked the zones.

TWW has been very mixed for me and the zones kinda meh, apart from Hallowfall.

Also Torghast much more fun than delves.

Yes! It’s definitely Netherstorm!

Typical Ethereal tech and the broken outlands vibe.

I like it honestly, first campaign this expansion where I didn’t pass out during the story.

A little bit too much on the girl drama… but ok.

Then that’s you. Some people did enjoy some parts of SL, some enjoyed it fully. Most of the playerbase i saw was criticising the Jailer as a villain for being objectively one of the worst ever been created, and that had it’s fundament, but that doesn’t make the rest of the lore bad.

I’m sorry, but if the warcraft universe was the same as it was years back, it’d have nothing new to offer. They are using things they introduced in the past and expanding them to make the universe more indepth. If you give it a chance, you’ll see that it isn’t as bad as you think.

Idk, i feel like this is untrue for me. The lore of Zereth mortis added to the Cosmology, making so that the titans are no longer the most powerful beings in existance and allowing them to make us look at them from another view. They are just like the Void Lords, the pantheon of death… it’s cool that they are making us doubt their benevolence as a result. Zereth mortis just said “Yeah, there’s being that are more than the titans, void lords and all, the creators of the universe, but they are dead, so universe stays as is.”
