in my opinion its perfectly valid to voice your opinion if you dont like something but to harp on about it and beating a dead horse like he does, i dont know, i just dont respect such a behavior at all. imo its just better to move on completely, if your entire career revolves around bashing a game then i dunno… thats questionable.

Yeah I haven’t touched ranked. Only play Quickplay and Mystery heroes. Tried some challenges etc. during events, but I’m having enough fun with the other two modes.

Honestly that’s such a biased opinion, he gets views because people value his opinion and might even share it.
I’ve watched a bunch of his videos/streams recently and I didn’t find him super toxic, he even pointed out that it’s not the footsoldiers fault but moreso Ion and the other lead designers’ fault, he’s just brutally honestly imo and sure he swears a little bit too much now but it doesn’t devalue his point/opinion, WoW is not in a good state, people are fed up with the treadmills and broken systems.

How is my opinion biased? It’s fact that if he makes shock content, he’ll get more views on Youtube. He’s making this content because it pays him money… at the expense of other people doing their job. THAT is disrespectful.

It doesn’t really matter who he thinks the problem is. The fact is he is using his Platform to try and raise a revolution against people who are doing their day to day job. It is completely unprofessional especially as a journalist

I really doubt he’s moving on from WoW considering his whole career on youtube is built around it.

the man has created his entire career around a video game… and not even playing the video game, just talking about it.

Why not? When you don’t like something you’re entirely free to say something, in some cases it even shows that people genuinely care otherwise they’ll just brush it off and move on.

It’s like saying movie critics should never publish critics, doesn’t make sense.

that’s fine to bring up what you don’t like. Look how Preach has done it. “Oh I don’t like this”, “this doesn’t work”, “Hi Ion, lets do an interview”, “Well you know, I can’t just rely on Wow, I’ve got to look at other games”. He’s handled it well and calmly.

Belluar flat out got angry and called out people by name, and he’s used that content to build attract viewers and make more money for himself at the expense of the people who are making the game, and not just once. He does it over and over and over and over and over. Once again, because Shock content gets views, views make money.

Sure Wow isn’t in its best rendition at the moment. But this guy is capitising on it, making it sound alot worse than it actually is, driving trolls to this forum to repeat what he said and at the expense of other people who he should be treating as his colleagues.

I never understood that forum mentality of always taking a dump on any content creator the moment they point out flaws with the game, WoW isn’t perfect and it’s time to wake up.

I don’t go on Forums and dump on Content Creators. I’m just dumping on Belluar because he’s gone about criticising WoW in the wrong way.

My statement still stands, if he’ doesn’t enjoy WoW anymore, sure bring it up in a video, but if it’s not for him move on and play something else.

Edit - I’m going to call it here. We’re giving this man far more publicity in this thread than he’s worth.

In a few months he’ll be clickbaiting FFXIV like he does WoW. It’s kinda why I barely watch his stuff anymore - it’s all “OOH EVERYTHING YOU LIKE IS ON FIRE”. He runs his channel as a business and he realizes doom and gloom is where the money’s at. In fact, there’s science behind it, that claims humans are inclined to seek news of doom.

But why on a WoW forum?

We are all big boys and girls. If we wanted to play FFXIV we’d go to their forums. I’m sorry but the fan base of the game just come across ‘strange’ with their need to spread the ‘word’. It is almost religious in it zeal.

CSGO is fun and competitive - If (big if) - you have friends to play it with. CSGO is probably one of the most toxic communities I’ve ever come across so playing solo is horrendous but even with 2 or 3 of you its a laugh.

I always hop on a few times a week with some friends for games, but find myself on it more post progression etc, the skill requirement is a good challenge but it isn’t for everyone

Yeh I guess. I mean I wouldnt count myself as part of the fanbase yet. I reckon im about maybe 100 hours in? Compared to my literal scores and scores of days played in wow.

Also a wow forum is a good place to find people who like MMO’s. And nobody would talk about it at say the start of an current xpax. But I find myself in a weird posistion with wow and the things left I want to do. Alot of other people are in that boat. I was letting you know a solution that worked for me.

None of this is to piss people off. I bet loads of people saw this post on the page and were like “nope” and just moved on. Its cool, you dont have to like everything i like. Im not pushing it on you. I just brought it up.

Best FF game ever. Even if Sephiroth’s Ultimate attack took longer than the bloody fight.
