Whole BFA is disaster and you are mad because arena map. Ok

Today! Your cries of battle and de clash of your weapon, will be heard by the great loa!

I mean, you’re not wrong.

Mugambala, Blade’s Edge, Dalaran, Lordaeron, Black Rook Hold and Hook Point are all absolutely garbage. Whoever designed them didn’t have “fairness” in mind when designing them, as they all give extreme benefits to certain comps (over the other more normal maps).

Same goes for Tol’Viron to some extent (it doesn’t require a complete revamp like the other maps, it’s just a bit oversized) and Robodrome (just needs to have the “fake” pillar made into a normal pillar).

The stranger, unsymmetrical, the more RNG, and the more height difference there is in the maps the more they favour certain comps (not necessarily the same comps all the time).

Maps shouldn’t determine who wins.

But… at the same time, adding the same map over and over again doesn’t add much to the challenge.

Also the large map everyone seems to like, doesn’t that one favour caster cleaves?

Ah, yes, let’s reduce the size of Tol’Viron and make Robodrome a three pillar map… that way we’ll have the same map twice with two different skins !

That’s a good way to give something fresh and new, love the idea, 5/7 would recommend.

I remember waiting to like 70% dampening on that map before engaging with the enemy ret-mw team because my healer didn’t want to play upstairs and they were hesitant to come downstairs. Great gameplay.

It seems u hate it haha

I am not paricularly fond of that map either, not gonna lie. :F It feels awkward to play in. Unless you are a Lock or a Monk, that is. I think it feels as though it’s in an unfinished state.

Completely agreed. Remember back when Blade’s Edge Arena had 2 pillars which were accessible only by a thin rope? Or back when Dalaran Arena didn’t have those extra 2 pairs of stairs behind its box piles? Just remembering those gives me nightmares.

Uhm… yeah? That’s the point. The less variance the better.

If I got to decide all maps would be the exact same (with different skins).

Good that you don’t decide then.

While some maps have a questionnable design the differences are important as they allow for different ways to play and players have to acclunt for that. It’s part of being good. I don’t play my Rogues the same way on Tol’Viron and Hook Point.

Any map differences will just serve to add additional balancing hurdles which are impossible to design classes around (because sometimes they exist, and other games they dont - and it’s completely outside of the players control).

Let’s just agree to disagree. Strongly.

Love this map cos I got a clutch win from a knockback lol
