Yet another egregious fail in Survival spec design

Survival is centered around BIG BOY explosives. Bomb and Explosive Shot makes up for most of our damage profile, yet they both completely break the most iconic Hunter ability since vanilla, which happens to be the win condition in Arena: Freezing Trap. Even if you don’t consciously throw an Explosive near a trapped target, once every minute, you will shoot out 3 Explosives, certain to hit a healer at some point. You better pray then that it doesn’t stagger an existing Explosive on your target, which delays the next explosion by ~5 seconds. That may also delay you Trapping someone for that duration.

Oh but that’s okay, you can just sacrifice A LOT of damage while your trapped target is nearby, no problem at all! You just press Kill Command, Mongoose Bite and Flanking Strike right? No, you can’t. Flanking Strike HAS to be buffed by Tip of the Spear to not be a huge damage waste. How do you get Tip stacks? By pressing Kill Command.
What happens when you press Kill Command? Either a Boar which continually charges a massive amount of screen real estate for 5+ seconds, making a trap dubious to put down, or a Bear that also AOE’s the area, breaks your trap and(!), the icing on the cake, it keeps you in combat so Feign Death loses half its value.

All around a gigantic flaw in spec design for a spec that already doesn’t really know what to be. Tons of bleeds, sure. Also 2 spells that remove all DoTs? True as well. Melee kick for a spec that has a pistol, crossbow, and every other spell usable from max range? Yes. Painful to see how Blizzard fails to play its own game. Truly painful.
