Yet another post about : Vote Kick Abuse in Random Dungeons – Needs Fix

Hi everyone,

We’ve all been through this Random Dungeon Finder experience that feels unfair and needs attention: the abuse of the vote kick system.

Here’s the situation:

Players queue, complete almost the entire dungeon (often 10–15 minutes of gameplay), and then get kicked right before the last boss.
The kicked player still gets hit with a 30-minute Deserter debuff, even though they didn’t leave voluntarily.
There’s no check or review for why the kick happened—it can be completely unjustified.

Sometimes this happens because groups want to manipulate loot rolls or just kick someone for convenience. Either way, the person removed ends up losing their time and getting punished on top of it.

What makes this worse is if the kicked player reacts out of frustration and says something aggressive, they’re the ones who risk a report and possible penalties, while the group that abused the system faces no consequences.

Some ideas that could improve this:

Remove or shorten the Deserter debuff** when you’re kicked.
Add an option to report vote kick abuse that is actually reviewed.
Track suspicious kick patterns (e.g., same group kicking people at the last boss repeatedly).

Good luck.

Reports for other offenses don’t get reviewed, so I don’t see this one getting special treatment.
