A friend did sync with me when I was levelling as he needed to repeat a quest to get access to a pet tame. It changed all my quest rewards to those chests instead of quest reward items I could see. I stopped questing until he was done.
I’d forgotten about that. He is max level I was somewhere in the late 40s at that point.
You also have to be in the same chromie time and party sync. Not sure if it maters what you do first. Because chromie time will phase people even with party sync.
Lvl 50s can’t get into chromie time.
Then you have to party sync first and then use chromie time. Did it with a friend.
Lvl 1s can’t get into chrome time either.
Well you did not say that your friend was lvl 1 in your first post. Might want to edit if new info comes to light. So people can help you without reading all the reactions.
But in this case I don’t know because I haven’t tried that yet. Sorry that I wasn’t able to help.
I tested that yesterday too and there was no way to sync my lvl 50 friend to my level. I had no exp turned off… then I turned off exp… then I joined chromi time… then I left chromi time… then I changed warmode… no warmode… nothing worked. fix please
I have had the same problems, reported in game, but yeah the party sync is definitely not working as intended.
I hope that gets fixed. Leveling with low level friends through party sync was always way more fun than actually going through the slog of the newest expansion.
It just sounds like it’s broken atm. All we can do for now is report the issues to blizzard via bug reports and hope they fix.
Seem to be similar reports on both sides of the pond with this issue atm.
