You cant ignore more players

You have to fix this bs. The limit is way too small. I assume blizzard devs have never actually played the game themselves. With the bots spamming in chat + the ragers and griefers in WM wpvp, you max out that list in a single day. Then i have to clear it to block the next one, but I don’t want to see these people again.

Remove the cap or at the very least increase the number of people who can be on your /ignore list by 1000

I would suggest getting the Bad Boy addon from CurseForge. It will automagically filter out bad actors and spam like RMT and boosting spam. You can add more to it as well. It will also have a tiny little button in the corner that will automatically report the spam to Blizzard too! Handy little bugger that button.

But also, take some initiative yourself. Instead of just blankly ignoring everyone everyday, just make a tab for each channel. That’s what I’ve done. I have tabs for Roleplay and emotes, character NPC chatter, the trade and services are in one, guild to another. It really helps filter out the junk.

Might have to try that myself. It’s ridiculous. When I need a crafter, trade chat is filled and spammed with boosting/other crap SO MUCH that the usual crafter’s advertisements are nowhere to be found. I guess they figured they can’t compete with bots and just gave up…

That doesn’t work, tried it myself. Made 3 channels and then … never use them.

I play since BC and never reached the ignore limit … and i play rated PvP.

Just in case you may have missed it, there is a trade channel, and a trade services channel. Maybe you have boosters gone rogue on the trade one tho. Either way, that spam sucks!

It’s the default channel when you log in. I am pretty sure it combines trade and services but I may be wrong? Isn’t crafting technically a service ? Which would put it in the same channel as the booster-spammers anyway.

Either way, both crafters and bots spam that channel because unless you manually disabled it (99% don’t), this is what you are looking at when you log on and play the game. I see the same 2-3 chars spamming “Get your Ahead of the Curve something something” over and over, one after the other into a constant stream of neverending wall of text. You just can’t type or see anything there on a bad night. Funnily enough this is on Silvermoon, but on Ravencrest it’s all cool and everything is normal (for now).

I think the boosting (services) have been moved. Boosters are not allowed to offer those things through /trade but have to use /services or something

First thing I do on any new character is untick “general” “trade” and “trade services” in chat settings, makes chat a lot nicer.

I feel this (With them being off) should also be the default for new players, as it’s a very bad look for the game when Blizzard want people to change the trial account into a paid one.

Hm. I’ll check it again when I get home. Hopefully I can get rid of the spam. Because lately I’ve honestly been thinking of disabling the whole chat window except for party/whispers because it’s useless as it is right now. You can’t see anything when the text is scrolling so fast. And if you scroll up to try to find something, you have like 20 seconds to do it before all is overwritten and that one line you were looking for is gone forever.

Silvermoon trade doesnt have any boosters in chat or none that i can see of.

That should be fairly easy for them to do, Blizzard is an expert on ignoring players.

Yeah - I think the idea was, that they “only” allowed such boosting services in that specific channel, so people that is not interested but are interested in trade chat didn’t get spammed. Very neat, I have it disabled on all chars haha

i played since tbc and the only time i might have come close to ignoring so many people was with the chinese goldseller spam.

I’m not against increasing the ignor elist limit. However…

If you manage to ignore 50 people every single day, have you perhaps concidered that the common nominator in these cases is you? I mean 50 people in a single day is ALOT.

Slight exaggerations maybe, but I can easily see 25+ bot spammers and 10+ ragers/griefers in wpvp, so not impossible by any means.

To that note;

  • Leaving trade/general/etc
Not really a suggestion because I obviously want to see those channels for anything useful (basically non-spammers)
  • “I play rated pvp”
Yeah but no one really cares enough in arenas or bgs. You win and you’re happy, you lost and then you cba give a asdaasd. Open world pvp is where it gets intense and emotional. After you’ve camped someone 50 times over or gotten camp, that’s when the rage happens.
