You have been disconnected (BLZ51901016)

Good day

Have been receiving this error - You have been disconnected (BLZ51901016) - the moment I start WoW and the BFA login screen pops up. I have done a clean install, flushed and released IP and DNS, I have searched the internet and help forums but have not found anything to help me yet.

I have been able to play WoW BFA and Classic till a couple of months ago, took a break, updated WoW and was greeted with this message. Uninstalled WoW, reinstalled fresh and still have this problem. I can still connect to all other Blizzard games.

Any idea how to fix this? Or how to get around this error?

Same here since yesterday. I log in to game with my any character. Then in 5-10 seconds my game goes disconnect without no reason or warning… I did clean install, tried with no addons, my mainboard, ethernet and graphics drivers are up to date. I disabled anti-virus software.

I did also IP flush dns, still the same.

Hello!

For this specific error, please follow this guide:

Good day

Summary

Thanks for the reply
1 --> My PC exceeds the minimum requirements - I could play all settings on High or above
2 --> Updated drivers and operating system - Same problem still
3 --> Clean Install so no addons or user interface
4 --> I have reset my router a couple of times - Same problem still
5 --> Not using WiFi to connect - Ethernet cable – Same problem still
6 --> No other applications running that can conflict – Same problem

I have done these steps and instantly get the same message.

*1. Ensure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the game. *
2. Update your drivers and operating system to resolve any compatibility issues

3. Reset your user interface to make sure your files and addons are not corrupted.

4. Reset your network devices to make sure your router hasn’t become flooded with data.

5. If you’re using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue.

6. Close all other applications to resolve software conflicts and free up resources.

I reinstalled WoW Classic just now - and I can connect to WoW Classic if that helps?

30 April: Solution

So I found a solution to this problem if anyone else needs this.

I actually found an almost identical case on the forums, late FEB, where a Blizzard customer support (Caterpepi) gave some steps to follow and a fellow user called Blazestrikes gave the information needed to clear this problem. I had to follow the steps from Blazestrikes exactly as he posted them and I could connect to the servers earlier today and also resubscribe.

The steps they gave that allowed me and other users according to the forums post to connect again is as follow

  1. Reset modem/router
  2. Command Prompt (Administrator)
  3. ipconfig/release
  4. ipconfig/renew
  5. ipconfig/flushdns
  6. netsh int ip reset
  7. netsh winsock reset
  8. restart computer

The above steps in those order allowed me to connect again without problems.
