Since he got laid off, he said he will take some time off and then see what opportunities come along.

Michael Salvatori would be a great benefit to the music of WoW. Considering he and Martin O’Donnell created the iconic music of both Halo and Destiny… He is basically one of the most iconic in the gaming music industry.

Worth a shot, if you have interest. He would make a good addition to WoWs “epic” future as teased my Chris Metzen.

Heathen, you most definitely heard a lot of his music… especially if it’s a film with Johnny Depp in it or was made by Tim Burton, or Batman.

Yeah Elfman is pretty big name in the industry. For me however, it wouldn’t matter because I play with the sound off.

Maybe Salvatori could fix that. To me it sounds like you play with sound/music off because it sucks compared to other music you prefer.

Its not like WoW is struggling in that department.

I would disagree. Since BfA and Legion and WoD we didn’t have cinematic, impactful action music.

And personally, I am used to A LOT higher level of music quality (not technical, but composition-wise). Not a single time in WoW I can actively remember a boss having a specific theme that progresses and becoming more complex and epic the further the boss fight has proceeded.

In my once main game Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, that was the standard the least. Dynamic music.

And considering that Salvatori worked on those tracks, is one of the reasons I recommend him to Blizzard.

Anyway wow rarely hits with epic music, but gems like invincible, way of the monk, wandering isle, highmountain are chef kiss.
And why salvatori if most of the d2 music is bland.
Like the only really hype music is in raids on last phases, and beyond light main theme yes

Anywhoose I dunno about salvatori but wow would benefit great from dynamically changing music, imagine if sarkareth fight had music becoming more distorted with void chanting, and there would been some drop on WITNESS MY ASCENSION.

There are not much interesting mechanics you just dodge things that indicators tell you to dodge, but there are 3 soundtracks on each phase, with leitmotiffs referencing expac’s capital theme, boss fight theme and main theme.
And dragonsong is quite good track
