You know it’s broken when insta cast spells hit more than chaos bolt.

Chaos bolt should be one of the ONLY spells that put the fear of god into another player as it slowly creeps across the battleground… ready to smack a 10m+ hit…

Instead topping 3.6m and popping 3 off them off (While in the perfect setup) you just about take 75% of a players hp.

They did lose track of the fundamental issue that the reward for a very long cast time in PvP should be a very big spell damage wise. And also that your big boom long cast time spell should never be outmatched by anything instant in your tool kit

the problem is the complaints of people who do not understand that the problem of pvp is not due to a spell with cast time and resources that produces a large amount of damage, but the fact that many classes instantly and jumping into two globals produce triple the damage of the same spell with cast time and resources that they complain about.

That said, I’d like to see spells like conflagrate go back to being truly powerful like they once were and not some sort of backdraft buff

Another problem is that a class with long cast times should have instant cc/root to keep the target in place. Instead, the opposite happens, where classes with absurd root and escape times have significant instant casts.

Back loaded damage gameplay for warlockswith huge ramp-up times, when other classes just hit 3 buttons to reach max dps was always a terrible idea.

But don’t worry, at the end of Midnight, Warlock will be reworked and only allowed to be mediocre at best :smiley:

I feel kinda sad about the entire thing tbh.

Don’t get me wrong, as Affli I can mostly top a battleground but the requirement is to DoT EVERYTHING so it’s quite intense while other classes (like a druid) drop a 1 button AOE which hits ridulously hard.

Demo is good unless you get targetted.

Destro just seems so underwhelming.

I play all 3 specs competently but when I fight any other class, I just feel like I am hamstrung. Most classes can drop some immunity or deflection and what has a warlock actually got?

We can’t use gates when trapped/bound to the floor.
We can’t get rid of movement impairing affects with any ease.
We have fixed teleportation spots so everyone know where you will be.
Our only defensive reduces damage by 25% for a short span of time while a mage gets some 17 second of damage buff plus immunity.
We have no decent speed buff - Well, we do but it damages you at such a high rate that it’s suicide.
Our absorption is weak and doesn’t really work that well.
Our AoE spell seed of corruption takes so long to cast, has a short range and is a bit hit and miss whether it will affect other players.

Idk, so many things feel off with it… like… it’s a difficult class to master but it required a lot of work to get good output and really smart playing.
