Tbf skyrim is one of the best games ever made. Just like argueably classic wow judging by how many people play this 20 y/o mmo today

Tbh so many deaths in hardcore are to silly things. It’s great.

Not seen many try it in Retail though. Dying is more of a challenge here.

I actually agree. I will never understand the concepts of the hardcore / ironman challenges. Such a useless concept (purely subjective view though - glad there are people that like it).

I haven’t finished the main quest yet, neither I have done everything else. I got lost with mods, and I don’t intend to stop playing it anytime soon

I leveled a character recently to experience the shadowlands campaign and I didn’t have any gear and only got the gear that dropped from quests. Let me tell you: It was not that easy. I sometimes died to mobs lol. Especially in revendreth you can die very easily, if you’re not careful and have low gear

It’s easier but there a lot of 1shot mechanics that may kill you out of the blue without any kind of notice, classic on the other hand has a number of mechanics that you could realistically think to memorise all, and be aware of what you’re going into most of the times

Are you playing lich king? I’ve heared it has all the issues of retail, but 10 times amplified without any counter measures lol. Retail is actually great overall. It’s a really good game. You should look into it once in a while. I feel like the perception of the community regarding dragonflight doesn’t really match how the game really is

For me retail ended because they added solo suffle which killed regular arena which was what I played for. And funnily it`s not blizzards fault cause they just gave the plebs what they asked for.

“hardcore” is for losers that want to LARP that the game they play is hard. Just boomers who get bodied in any key past 157/HC raid

Pretty much, and I think raids might even get a buff? Not sure rn.

But, at least you get to transfer your dead toons to a non HC realm. I suppose that works, if you aim to play Classic anyways - try your luck getting to 60, and if you don’t, you still get to continue on Era.

But this is all there is to it anyway. And some mechanics (coughGarrdispelcough) are pure evil.

I do understand why they love HC so much - I bet they’ve been leveling like mad for their whole life and want a real challenge. But this isn’t for me either.

I did, the first raid of DF was good and then the 2nd one was so bad that it made me quit the game.

I actually find the second one to be way less of a torture session than the first one.
But then again; I don’t enjoy raiding, period.

The thing that made me stop playing Endgame recently is augvoker. I was already madge about sitting in LFG. Now I don’t even bother and only farm rep, but my rep is maxed out atm :joy:
