In the background of A LOT of complaining people, MOST of which have ridicilous complaints, such as:
Players wanting to get full honor set for free immediately so they can skip bg/wg grind;
Players who are wondering why drug names aren’t allowed as the characters names;
Players who are threatening to leave the MoP classic for good bc leveling from 85-90 takes approx. 12 hours(it took same time back in Cata. I’ve leveled 7 chars in Cata);
Players complaining about premades and demanding their immediate separation from normal bg players;
Players complaining about low damage and long game pace in BATTLEGROUNDS (Are you serious? Bgs, not even Rbgs damage balance? I played a lot of arenas on beta. Dmg is ok in general.)
Players complaining about LFR removal(These are the biggest trolls, who overcome all the others players mentioned combined);
And many more.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the devs. These complaining players are tourists, who are going to leave MoP for good whether you satisfy their demands or not. The game right now is obviously not at the state that everyone would want to see, myself included. BUT i see that developers are at least trying to fix some of the bugs. Take vendors bug solution, took Blizz a bit less then a week. I used to expect less from Cata devs team or retail team.
Such a poor quality of the game is to be blamed on the leadership of Blizzard, who would rather to have spare 5k $ wasted on forcing some popular streamer to play the mop instead of spending these money on more motivation for current devs, or increasing the amount of current classic staff.
But poor quality or not, i am very happy to play the MoP once more, and grateful for this opportunity. A lot of positive changes were made in the latest beta versions, and were converted into release game version. I hope there are many more to come.
And no, i am not going to discuss why the caregories of people i mentioned are obvious trolls. You don’t agree with me? That’s ok, it’s your opinion, you have a right for it. And i have the right to not care about your opinion whatsoever. It would be wise for you to not care about mine aswell, instead of starting arguing with me)
You’ll probably get stick from people from this post but have to agree. Yeah the launch had some problems but we had hotfixes every single night since launch, including a workaround fix for PvP vendor on Friday so that we had a solution over the weekend while I’m sure most devs aren’t working.
Really enjoying MoP, the changes are all awesome that they’ve done and the amount of fixes and attention it’s getting is so encouraging.
I’m sure a lot of negative feedback will disappear when retail season 3 launches in a couple weeks and the people just visiting go back
Agree. But… to be honest… “lot’s of people” complaining about this ridiculous stuff in reality is a few (like 5 or so) people on this forum
I find your use of the term ‘tourist’ inappropriate and presumptuous.
Especially when you use it to refer to people who find the levelling process too time-consuming.
It’s ironic that you choose this term to defend this forced temporary part of MOP.
This necessary annoyance is not permanent. It’s just an annoying obstacle to the actual gaming experience.
If we evaluate after 1 year, the majority of /played takes place at 90 - not at 85-89.
WHat remains is that this bs took 1 week from me to just get 90 90 87 87 so i am not even done with this
If you’re levelling as a healer, I can hardly imagine 7 hours. Not even with Monkey/Mogu runs.
It took me 4 hours and 7 minutes to go from 89 to 90.
I found that to be very long.
Especially since I want to play multiple healers.
Incidentally, the power spawn at the Mogu in Karasang Wilderness can only be used efficiently by the Alliance.
Of course, I realise that everyone who can put a lot of time into it can enjoy the head start. But I’m also thinking of those who, due to life circumstances, can’t play more than 2 hours a day @ max.
I also can’t wrap my head around how anyone can justify the ridiculously low dungeon exp – less than 4% at 87 in Mogushan Palace.
Gate of the Setting Sun and Niuzao Temple don’t look any better.
You’d probably have to live like a goldfish to enjoy this incredibly exciting and repetitive levelling process as much as some people (superficially?) do.
It’s okay that expectations are so low, and that’s your business. However, I find it inappropriate that you want to deny others any expectations whatsoever.
Especially since the game had a test phase beforehand and there were no such problems in the original MOP (which i entered as my wow expierence during the thunder isle patch). Instead of improving the launch, it made it worse.
Communication regarding the various problems was also anything but lively.
After reading your praise, there’s little substance left of what you specifically liked so much. it feels more like you want to annoy ppl who had to face these issues.
Meanwhile, I see a lot of supply and demand for boosts. This is probably because everyone thinks levelling is so great
Have you looked at the LFG for Gehenna’s Firemaw or in the GRP tool to see what kind of supply and demand there is…?
Of course, you can ignore everything and put on your rose-tinted glasses. Just like lauchmelda and talk it down to a 5 ppl issue.
I only become more aware of this when I log in at 90 and realise what a waste 85-89 was – just dead time.
You seem disconnected from reality, we’re not tourists but the people who actually pay the bills around here, and once we get fed up with this crap shoot we will leave and your mop will feel very empty…
“I have an opinion. Anyone who disagrees with it is a troll, non-negotiable. No, I am not going to engage in a constructive discussion or even clarify my own position.”
Well, I guess most of the people playing this game are trolls then
You can thank them all you want - In the end Cataclysm Classic they didn’t fix bugs from Pre-patch of Cataclysm up till release of Dragon soul. They are barely doing anything.
I farmed the mogus of the Karasang Wilds at Sentinel Basecamp with my human Hunter from 88 to 90, the grind took about 5h40m - best leveling exp.
I really like it so far, only a couple of blips and issues that are bothering me. Overall Mop Classic looks great.
can’t wait to play more
They are barely doing anything not bc they are bad or completely incapable workers, but bc they are understaffed and urderfunded. As i said, Blizzard company rather waste 5k$ to force some streamer play the MoP instead of 5k$ investement in MoP development. It’s mot much for the development, but that’s just an example, and it’s better then nothing. So, surely you don’t think that devs are responsible how company money are being used? The devs might be the people to blame here. But they are certainly not the first in this list.
Thank you for another slop worse-than-private servers release.
Ever seen a constructive discussion to actually bring people to change their mind? Especially in this forum? Take your best guess why i believe explaining it would be a waste of time. And quick question - how hardly do i have to clarify that ppl who want free gear, and character names mentioning drugs, are trolls? I mean, i’m certainly MUST answer for every category, not just the one you feel most upset about, correct?
Do you have any statistics that will support your claim - most MoP classic players are LFR enjoyers?
You have a very liberal definition of “free gear”. LFR is an instance with bosses, and just like in any other instance with bosses you earn gear by beating said bosses. It is in no principle way more free than gear from any other dungeon or raid.
The drug name guy was funny though, cannot argue with you on this.
Yes. Open any thread about LFR on the forums, the overwhelming majority is in favor of it. They are by far the most liked threads. In fact, I have not seen people so unanimously agreeing on something on forums in a while. When even forum sweatlords demand it, regular casual players will want it even more because they are the target audience of LFR
The lfr players and free gear wanters are the different folks. You’re welcome to check these forums for guy with topic ‘‘Why is honor farm so miserable again?’’ who demands full free honor equipment for everyone because he can’t stand farming bgs anymore.
Unfortunately, even united forums can’t be considered even relatively pure statistics for the whole game. Here is one example - when BfA has begun, all holy paladins were desperately crying that hpal got significanlty nerfed, weakened. Each post like that was quite popular and liked, as much as paladins forums go. I was the only one who disagreed with all these people. I argued with them quite a lot, like how is holy shock rework with +30% increased crit chance is nerf compared to double critical strike chance, especially in font of having up to 30% crit chance or less, which was a deal for literally everyone since it was S1, and even further on, up to S4, paladins never gathered more than 30% crit chance - in PvP, that is. Was a bit more in PvE. I even asked a few multi R1 hpal streamers, were these people correct or not? Perhaps i was misunderstanding something? I got the reply that hpal is good and people on forums are incorrect. Statistics of hpal’s popularity in m+ and pvp later has confirmed that it was doing pretty ok. So i just can’t take united forums as proof that everyone in mop classic like LFR, because it’s most likely not even 10% of the whole actual society who play the game.
Forum dwellers want LFR. “Actual society who plays the game” is more casual than forum dwellers. LFR caters to more casual players. Therefore, LFR should be even more appealing to casual normies than it is to forum dwellers. Basic logic
OK. People underestimated a spec. How does this have anything to do with people expressing their preference / taste in gameplay, which is our case?
to each their own if they want to accept breadcrumbs
it’s a joke terrible gameplay at launch fobbing us off with same crappy dungs to run all of MOP instead of giving us lfr are they that tight they wont buy an extra server for lfr .
I will keep complaining about faction imbalance on pvp realms, no cross-realm lfg tool(and no pvp lfg tool), and human racial. These all are ridiculous.
