Got into a m0 group to gear up my dk alt cpl of weeks ago, then i got kicked again, i asked the leader why, and he answers : “sorry ur itemlevel is to low”
This toon was 435 at the time.

Guy in my guild just spam signed up for the hundred groups thats up for this at the time got invited every time on several lowgeared and nogeared alts.
Not really, emissaries are basicly only war resources/gold/azerite so getting 445 items that way is the slowest way of gearing in the game atm.
HC Darkshore gives one 460 item and its like three weeks in between each time (or more?)
M0 event gives 460 item from completing 4 dungeons but its like three months between each time.
There’s also a nifty little vendor in Arathi Highlands selling 410 weapons, rings, cloaks, bracer and belt for a few marks of honor and time warped badges if you have any of those. That with the benthic 385 gear got my warrior to around 398 from 200 odd.
You can also buy crafted 400 gear from the AH which usually isn’t very expensive

It seems you have been burned by content you don’t want to repeat.
In which case I strongly advise to do next week’s MoP TW runs they drop 425 gear with five runs giving you a chest with 445 gear reward.
Also the vendor from TW will supply you with 410 gear.
It might be a good idea to wait until there.
Maybe level up another alt or logg another high geared character, for now.
I see several players farming in Suramar and Highmountain this week and I think this will be a trend so long as the rep bonus remains, same for the leveling experience, which means less player queuing up to BFA normal/Heroics.
Unless you want that character ready for this week.
In this case I can only advise you to artificially inflate your character gear through AH, in order to be at minimum heroic gear requirements, but that will cost Gold.
Players not wanting bad geared alts in their Mithic runs are unfortunately normal at this stage of the expansion.
This shows that not even if your character were ILV 410, your problem would be solved. 
RNG is bad but at least it’s just a alt not getting leather BoA drops, you got a shaman to equip the mail drops.
Some people, on their mains, are getting the same piece for weeks in their Mithic week reward and that’s only useful for, enchanting material or vendor trash.
Sadly I don’t think there’s nothing to be done in both cases, as they increase player game time for Activision Blizzard which translates in to player retention, which than translates in to more profits, from monthly subscriptions.

I forgot to mention timewalking, good vendor items (u can buy all after 1 whole tw dungeon) and boss rewards in the dungeon scale and are generous ilvl - no ilvl required to do so (just don’t go naked… lol).
Ive been doing +15 or higher every week for a long time, and its now 11 weeks since i got something in the chest that is an upgrade.
Last 10 weeks: 6 trinkets (!!!) 3 gloves and 1 legs. All of them downgrades.

1h 30min and I have 14 pieces of Banthic gear and I didn’t even do all the quests which give me pearls lol
1h 30min to gear up new 120h in 9 pieces of 385 (which spare pieces for another new 120 char) but catch up mechanic is TOO SLOW 
Imagine how much whining on the forums you could’ve done in that time. You just spent your time badly.

I came back recently and managed to get my Paladin from about ilevel 280 to 430 in a couple of days.
- Do Normal dungeons + 8.3 storyline for ilevel 400 loot + a few 400+ pieces.
- When ilevel is high enough, do Heroic Dungeons + World Quests.
- Create your own chill Mythic 0 groups which often leads to the occasional lower key Mythic + run if you meet a decent group.
- Do your trippy N’Zoth vision things every week
Congratulations, you’re pretty much caught up.
The last thing they need to add is more catchup system.
The game already throws normal raiding at you for world quest emissaries, world bosses, timewalking quest, heroic raiding gear for doing afkfront and the weekly mythic dungeon quest.
If you can’t catch up to others then you are not even trying.
The only time i saw people getting declined because of their bad gear and not because the group is full was when they tried to join a +10 run with less than 430-440 ilvl. Obviously no one is going to need that type of player on that level this far into the patch when most player who give a crap is at least 450+.
Be a little creative, don’t expect people to boost you, create a group for M0 alt runs and you will be fine.
i mean…even if its just m+0. just go freehold or underrot and write in the title that its a mount run or something. the majority of people wont care if theres the occassional low geared dps.
if everything fails and they question it, communication is key, just ask them to help out. eventually someone will.
op has so many options to catch up quickly. heck, i bet, even asking nicely here on the forums would have been a good idea. there are some seriously nice people around who would have ran a couple of m+0s and even traded equip. i know i would have and im sure there would be enough to form a group.
but life is about choices i suppose. and op decided to brown the sheets.
