I’m a bit similar myself as I don’t get the subtleties like colour for instance, so tend to be oh they want one of these, and that colour is cheaper…
only to find out that pink or purple is actually a key requirement!!

they should be feel lucky my parents only ever gave me soft presents like socks or cloths now that was true disappointment heck i remember being super excited with my twin sister one xmas we got a huge present turns it was a pj set for us both they just combined the package to make it look bigger ;/

I remember back in the day when they tested the waters with those old transmog head pieces. The forum was full of stories of people getting kicked from groups for buying them. They didn’t attempt to sell mog in the store for years afterwards.
Now you’re more likely to find people defending the shop items in a game we already buy and pay a monthly fee to play. Sad times.

I think that is partially the case because you do not have to pay a monthly sub out of your pocket if you are resourceful.
For me this game only has the monthly sub cost for example. I paid for every expansion after Legion with gold.
I think plenty excuse Blizzard for this, since the game feels more like a free to play game than anything else.

The whole store will have cooler stuff then what you can get outside of the store yes true this has been the case for mounts and pets for probably most of the years that we’ve had the shop
No offense, but people said that when character services were first sold for real money, and the first battle pet, then the mount, the first three transmog helms, the “1 year subscription”-items…
Funny enough, WoW is still here, i think it will manage to weather the storm (In a teacup) over this transmog set as well.
You are comparing a pretty ugly 7 year old set from notoriously bad expansion estethically for priests, to a current bright coloured shop item.Plenty of in game sets from the last 5 years have looked really really good.
The shop items will always look insane, because otherwise who would pay for them. Imagine they put a recoloured yeti or otter in the game shop. Nobody would buy it. Those are for the losers who actually play the game and achieve stuff by skill or grind.
Buy for the wallet boys, they make these insane mounts with custom animations and effects. Always.
I wish they have modified the skimpy version of the chest for males a bit though, otherwise it looks like a man with a bra.
Or maybe some people are fine with paying for stuff like that no need to spam the forums every time something is added
