Ok wtf.

I went to Raid ruins of Ah Qiraj alone because I want those beautiful dresses with the bikini, that looks like belly dancing dresses.

I killed all the bosses, but one. I just stood inside the raid while texting my friend on my phone and I still had the headphones on. After five minutes or so of standing I Suddenly hear a creepy voice “You will die”. What the…

If it’s not bad enough then I hear foot steps. I’m like Nah I’m outta here forget this. Is blizzard trying to scare me to death

I’ve been to AQ hundreds of times over the years.
I’ve never heard any voices like that. Don’t think it has anything to do with the game.

Maybe it’s all in your own head.

I’m 100% sure I’ve heard it. I even googled it to see if anyone else had this problem. Apparently the voice is coming from another raid that is very near to the Ah Qiraj one. I just don’t understand why this raid has to be heard all the way from the other raid. Creepy

And you know that house near Goldshire? Apparently if you go there a specific time the children will stand in a circle and you will hear the same “you will die” voice. Like why blizzard :joy: imagine that happening on a Rp server

Cool to know. It’s pretty common to hear it in the Temple of Ahn’Quiraj instance.

Ye it’s C’thun whispers.They added it as sound for DBM.Really good ambience voice design for Ahn’Quiraj such atmospheric raid.

speaking of goldshire, that voice is present in goldshire, it’s one of the old secrets to do with those evil kids that roam stormwind making pentograms.

No it is. C’thun whispers you when you’re in the raid or in this area.

There’s an addon on classic that regularly uses his voicelines wherever you are. (maybe on retail too but didn’t check)

I love such things! you can also hear this C’ thun sentence “You will die” when you will follow Goldshire Creepy Kids, if you don’t know what’s about, google this, or just type creepy things in WoW :smiley:
