I can’t bring myself to hate Nathanos. He used to be a great character, but i do dislike him these days.

I was very tempted to put Sylvanas on my worst list, but I don’t really hate her. It’s more I’m just sick, tired and bored of seeing her.

Anduin, Baine, Matthias Shaw, Valeera, Vareesa (wish I could put both Alleria and Vareesa but I guess Vareesa wins. Just).
E: also wtf Nathanos is great he’s just really frustrated that you get to go off and have all the fun murdering and he has to oversee all the operations. Dudes jealous and pithy and I dig it.

Least: Sylvanas, Nathanos, Valeera, Alleria, Sylvanas again (frankly remove her and you take a huge step towards salvaging the setting).

Thalyssra would probably be on my top 5, but her writing hit the gutter as well when it came to the allied race intro. She’s one of the few characters in these past expansions that I think we’ve actually managed to make a connection to, though.
That’s fair enough, I have not done that intro so I will take your word for it. I just went on my memories from Suramar.
Man, the Suramar storyline was such a rare jewel in this game.

Genuinely. I did my Nightborne dailies religiously at the start of Legion, not just because I had to for achis /ilvl /rep, but because everything about Suramar was genuinely great. The zone was beautiful and the storyline was ACTUALLY GOOD. Nighthold itself is my favourite raid in the game.
Basically the allied race intro was kind of sloppy justification to shoe-horn them into the Horde faction (when, honestly, they should have been a neutral faction a la Pandaren).

WoW has brought me to tears, like… Twice total. One time was at the end of the initial Nightfallen storyline, when you have finally completed the tree at the end of all your work and toil and you see the people free at last and that music and ahhh 
How on earth did you go from that to BFA, Blizzard? What happened?! Did you sack all your writers the moment they finished the questing zones?

I think nigjtborne aligning more with Silvermoon over the night elves is more natural tbh, just wish they built on it more than Tyrande opening her mouth.

Turns out being a 
jockey to the leader of a rebellion bites you in the bum when they succeed. Especially when you idley threaten to kill them all off because you hate magic or smth.
